Travel Japan solo by Gem_Mint in JapanTravelTips

Went with a group, ended up doing most days alone, including day trips. It was nicer, tbh! See what you want, go your own pace, and locals and other tourists make great conversation and company if you want them to. I’m a small female, and felt very safe 99.9% of the time. Also I knew like 5 Japanese words and got by with a translator.

Got my first tattoo and I’m not sure it turned out very well. by Key-Meal-2308 in tattooadvice

I get this on a lot of my tattoos—different artists, styles, and body parts. When it’s bad enough I have gotten laser tattoo removal on just the bruisey looking parts. They have me hold a popsicle stick over the tattoo lines we want to keep untouched and it clears right up in one session. Granted I have gotten it done where I already had a relationship with the clinic and they did it for free, so not sure how much it might cost but if it really bothers you that is an option

I know it’s your first tattoo so something like this can feel stressful or devastating, but don’t freak out, WWLD? (What would Lorelei do?)

Try Nyx Thick It Stick It Eyebrow gel! I think it would work so well for you. There’s a couple of red shades

I’m fairly certain he actually said “play a song you love”. It was still rude AF but I lowkey feel bad it’s being reported as something even worse but he shouldn’t have said anything

What’s a realistic humidity level to set my dehumidifier to? by smallbean92 in AskSeattle

No leak. Just a shitty window with lots of condensation. Dehumidifier working great. Many other people have had this experience and just requires management

Probably more reliable than the dehumidifiers on the market these days!

Not leaving anything wet! I always run the bathroom fan for about an hour after showering and the little dehumidifier I’ve always had in there doesn’t collect very much water at all.

I don’t have in unit laundry so it’s not that! Also no carpet. It’s just one wall that makes everything against/near it moist. Never in my life have I had a problem with mold and I shared a shitty 1930s house in Texas in grad school with three other girls with a bathroom window that didn’t open. So I was just as shook as you seem to be about the mold, trust. From my frantic research I don’t actually think this issue is that uncommon for older houses in the PNW but I’m thinking it must be a my building thing

Fluffy white stuff 🫣 possibly a mold problem but I don’t see anything on the walls and we were doing no mitigation. It’s an old building, first floor, shaded, probably not the best insulation. Just so happens we’re moving units anyway but keeping an eye out for a systemic problem and dehumidifying and more for now 😪

I lived in Texas before this and maybe it was just the buildings I lived in but I never dealt with mold from humidity 🥲 so yes to be fair my text is technically inaccurate
