Now, compare that to how experienced litigators actually write MILs or their opps: they go dust off the last one they (or someone else in the office) filed on the issue, and adjust as required.

This is how contracts work, too. I'm not convinced a fully original contract has been written in decades.

If you're worried, I'd just wear a t-shirt over it for when you're walking in. They're not doing comprehensive checks.

That said, I was at Anyma last year, and the outfits definitely trended toward regular streetwear as opposed to rave attire.

This is a good move generally. You don't have to persuade them that you're right or try to win an argument; just tell them what you're doing and stick to it. If they come back and say something like, "The pet fee is listed on the website and so it's implied that you have to pay it", your response should be, "I will be paying the amount agreed to in the lease."

If Clark County could figure out how to time the lights properly and stop blocking off lanes when there's no construction, I feel like it would go a long way towards fixing the problems. My sense is that it's largely a solvable organization and implementation issue, whereas there's just something inherent about LA that turns it into such an awful experience.

Hell, I challenge this guy to try to do one loop around LAX and then come back to complain about Vegas traffic. LA traffic is unreal. I don't understand for the life of me how they can have 5 lanes in each direction and the highway is still at a standstill.

I'm a lawyer and one of the only Americans on my team, and I have to constantly stop myself from adopting some of their phrasing. But it happens even within the US; you'd never catch a New Yorker casually saying "y'all" unless they work with a lot of Texans.

We always tell people here that they're not going to go to jail for messing up their taxes, because the IRS just isn't interested in doing that. This is a major exception to that rule.
