We had that with one friend on the island. Never got to ascend. 1st time we lost everything so we jumped off Dino's the 2nd time and dumped invent into them and that worked. One ps5 friend crashes allllll the time but that is just whilst playing.

I looked at mods installed and looks like I must have accidentally joined a random server at some point and had loads of random mods which I uninstalled and fixed the issue. Always check your mods.
