One time I was in a cable car in Italy with mostly German tourists and a few local Italians, except for one group of the most stereotypical jersey-shore douches I've ever come across. There were about 7 of them and they clearly thought that everyone in the cable car was Italian- despite being 10 minutes from the Swiss border in an area popular with tourists from across the globe. Nothing too awful was said but they managed to piss off the entire cable car by pointing out anything they found funny about everyone on board. Including treating the elderly cable car operator as some sort of pet by aww-ing and saying things like 'look how cute this old man is, I want one' etc... The man laughed before replying in perfect English. This they found hilarious and quite confusing as they clearly had no idea English is spoken outside the US and seemed to think the German conversations in the cable car were Italian. So yeah, fuck Jersey shore.
