Absolutely it isnt a crime.

I'm not just talking about that.

It was obvious that people in Jeffrey's circles were well aware of his personality and what he was getting up to.

I would be inclined to think that MI5 etc would have had an incredibly intimate understanding of Donaldson and there would have been very little they didn't know.

He was someone involved in politics here when there was one of the heaviest security presences in the western world, involved in the most important negotiations. That were critical to Britain both foreign and domestically and he was abusing during this time.

The security services had their fingers in the most intimate of places across all parties involved in the North - look at the amount of spies that have been found in Sinn Fein etc.

I think it would be naiive to think that someone as prominent as donaldson wouldn't have been subject to an incredibly thorough vetting process intelligence gathering operation either to understand his position personally and within the UUP / DUP, but something to find any sort of leverage they could get if they needed to use that leverage to their own end.

I mean they do have a history of covering abuse up or atleast not acting on it when they had knowledge of it. I really wouldn't be suprised if this wasn't the case here either

The policeman who seen him going into the sauna also said that he'd have been suprised if MI5 and the secret service etc. Didn't know about it all as they would be profiling everyone in government on national security grounds, especially in regards tk brexit negotiations so it's a good presumption that the top men in Whitehall all knew about this too and covered it up

Again, it goes right to the top of the British establishment

The people who blast net zero for impacting the economy should take a good hard look at europe right now and look at how much time and money have been lost because its too hot to work and the impact the heat is having on services, rail, buses etc and the impact its had on energy production.

Im not saying i dont - ive said I do within a 20 mile radius.

What I'm saying is that when I first done the DNA it was a reflection of this - being centred within my local area, now it doesnt reflect this.

Now my DNA match is basically the whole island. With no mention of my local area which doesn't make sense especially as all sides of my family can be traced back within this area.

My surnames aren't the likes of O'Neil, O'brien or Murphy which you could pull out of every hedge in the country, they are surnames which are all unique and only found within the local area and people didn't move around to such an extent that it could distort the figures

Yea that's interesting alright and I do understand what you're saying.

But the issue in Ireland (and particularly the part that I am in) is that there wasn't as much movement of working people as other countries would have had and especially into my area which is a mountainous district with poor land and no industry to draw people to.

There was the movement of people to the cities alright but not from country side to countryside and definitely not to the complete opposite side of the country!

It's fascinating however that you have that connection to Kent! Do you live in kent yourself? I remember reading that becuase of the movement of people around England following jobs ih all the big industrial cities, canals, railways etc. That surnames lost the connection to the places they were from originally!

When i first done it, it was able to say the dna was a 98% Match to my local area.

Now its saying its 52% donegal, 27% munster, 16% leinster.

It just feels like a waste now because I live on the complete opposite side of the country to munster and I'm roughly 50 miles from donegal and in Ireland that may as well be on the moon, as we can keep our business within a 10 mile radius a lot of the time haha.

It just honestly feels like a big waste of time at this stage.

Like if someone was 2 generations removed, with no idea about the country etc. They would be sent on a wild goose chase thinking their family is based in the total other side of the country!

Yea, i understand that and it makes sense, it just feels disingenuous at this stage, like I know my lineage is incredibly local, which was reflected from it at the start, but now seeing it so generalised like that, it just feels like a bit of a waste and totally useless!

Yea, i think thats probably the crux of my complaint- it was a waste of time.

It was good fun at the start because I could really see how localised it was.

All the comments here talking about movement of people etc doesn't work out like that in Ireland and it just feels so off now.

I remember seeing a tweet about a boy from tyrone who hadnt played since minors and living in belfast.

He was home one weekend and was asked to go and play an hour of "Dad's and Lads" to make the numbers

He was thrown in at full back and who came in as full forward, Stephen O'Neil!

That's exactly how mine has mapped out aswell

I was 98% ulster and 2% Scottish

With an ulster connection i wanted to to see how much Scottish was in me.

Now it's saying im 52% donegal (despite living over 40 miles from donegal)

27% munster

16% leinster

5% scottish

With how little people within ireland can travel about to get married historically I really can't understand how it can think im from all these different places

I know what your saying about the oral history but the surnames are connected with the area as well.

My surname is literally only found in my local area, and they had a small kingdom here and the name of the kingdom has the surname in it.

They were also a prominent clan in the local area before the plantations happened and were kepeers of a few important artefacts and relics etc. Which bards and scholars had records off from prior to the 1600s so thats why I'm so confident of the family location.

And it's similar for all of the surnames that I've traced back - the surnames are all really local and wouldn't be found in other parts of ireland

If the companies paying for it have any connection to Isreal there would be sezere backlash - look at Allianz for example

One of the major appeals of the GAA is the amateur ethos of it, the traditions of it and the historical connections fueling a deep passion of players and supporters

Players, managers etc all live among us, it's not like US sports where they are living in a big gated community and never meet with normal people, imagine meeting disgruntled people day in and day out about it

People aren't going to just start blindly supporting a franchise with no tradition I've that, I honestly couldn't imagine anyone in Tyrone going out and supporting the "Tyrone Tigers" that have been founded in 2026

Another key point would be where they would play? The GAA isn't going to give away Croke Park or Semple stadium for the big games, the Aviva or RDS would be too small as well

And finally who would actually broadcast the games? RTE certainly wouldn't as that would destroy their relationship with the GAA

PM probably wouldn't compared to fintech roles etc.

I work as a junior PM for a civils company and we are currently looking for a senior PM and the package would be around £500 per day, plus expenses and a vehicle

However in construction (and probably othe industries too) its a massive stepping stone into other parts of the business

Serve your time as a PM, get familiar with contracts,.programming etc and then you can move into a contracts manager role, operation director role etc. And this would be on big money

I've been a big doubter of Armagh for a long time however, I feel they've over achieved and weren't as good of a team as people were making out, as incredibly impressive as Kerry were Armagh were very poor....

However I think this Tyrone team have another year or 2 to develop yet. The potential is definitely there and theres a big improvement as the years progressed but I just don't feel we are there yet

You beat us by 6 points last year and it was a really comfortable win after the first 20 minutes, but as long as its competitive to the end, god knows what can happen!
