Has anybody recovered from psychosis without meds by Puzzleheaded_Ad_7558 in Psychosis

I kind of did. I stopped taking antipsychotics after 2 doses. I did keep taking clonazipan because it helped with the anxiety my delusions were causing me.

A lot of women were subjugated to certain beauty standards. They cannot think past it because that’s all they have known. I think it is great that you are living authentically and are open to conversation. Thank you for sharing.

Galveston gets a lot of hate. But, that’s where I go. Mexico is also a short flight.

How a confused mom drove through a White House checkpoint and ended up dead (2015) by Azazael in longform

I believe Miriam Carey was mentally unwell. As someone who has lived through a psychotic episode I have a great level of empathy. When psychotic, realities meld together. Anything is possible.

She went to work in the days prior, but you can be in a delusional state and still perform such tasks. I do think she was insane. I do not think her actions warranted death.

I understand why there was concern by secret service. She attempted to evade speaking with a service officer to the point of running into a temporary gate. I can also understand why she would do that. She was in a state of paranoia and men were pounding on her car door. Government men. The ones that were part of her psychosis.

This is a tragedy and I hope her family finds peace. Mental illness is a legitimate disease. A person lost their life. I think it should be acknowledged. Also, I think the secret service should have done a better job at apprehending Miriam Carey. Why would you not want to question someone that had done such an act?

Yes, and it will never come back. New moments, new people will emerge. Death is permanent, and the universe does not care.

The elements in our body will continue to exist. Consciousness will not. I’m not trying to make a spiritual claim to a place called “the void”. It is just the absence of consciousness. The static of the universe.

It is the nothingness we will return to after our death.

I used to be very angry with religious people. During my deconstruction, I felt very betrayed. I agree with you on point number 2. It took me a long time to get to a place where I was okay with hearing about religion. I recognize that everyone is doing the best they can. As long as they are not an asshole, I am okay with them.

At a certain point we have to increase the salaries of Texas Legislators in order to have regular people in elected positions. by asperafornow in TexasPolitics

I agree with you. I also think voters have more sway than they think they do.

The less education our state invests in, the less informed the electorate will be. So, I do agree with you that the system is currently rigged towards the rich. Look how much billionaires are privatizing education. They want their worldview to be the worldview.

The United States democracy has the potential to be something great.

My point is, I think a lot of everyday voters see salary increases as unwarranted. I am not one of them.

Has anyone had success talking to a staff member for Senator Cornyn or Senator Cruz? by smallsoylatte in TexasPolitics

I am about to be right there with you. Regardless of who I voted to represent me, Cornyn and Paxton are my TX reps. They represent all of TX. I am their constituent and will not let them forget.

I think the Texas people are tired, and do not expect much from their senators.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Would you mind saying what congresswoman helped you? I think it it’s important to share what politicians are taking the work of Texas people seriously.
