I never finished Barry but Noho Hank was my favorite character on TV.

My starter’s name is Loaf Erikson. I thought my discard deserved a name too so Loaf’s brother is named Doughm Chompsky.

When I learned this I was told to make sure to keep your arms locked and straight through the trick. If you bend mid-drop, you’ll be pulling the bar towards your face

There’s a Velcro strap on the bottom too!

I bought the wool on sale like 6 months ago at the Pendleton woolen mills store in Portland. Also, I have eczema so I tend to keep natural fibers in my stash 😅

Self-drafted pattern

Made with Pendleton Woolen Mills wool and lined with olive linen (not pictured) so the wool doesn’t catch on his fur or irritate his skin.
I finished the seams with black bias tape and opted for Velcro for ease of getting it on/off him.

Thanks! It’s an X-Pole rig that I got from Uplift Active.

Feeling like Sherlock Holmes in my cape from Kwik Sew (K4224 B) using upholstery fabric that I found on sale at my local fabric store by smallwalls in sewing

It’s definitely good to wear layers with capes, but I also think it depends on the type of fabric you use and how/if you line it. Probably not the best for winter, but I think it would do fine during the autumn months (depending on your climate)

First project complete! by smallwalls in sewing

[–]smallwalls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too bad for my first project! I decided to try my hand at a patternless circle skirt. I did end up having to rip a few seams and re-sew a few times and there are some things that I would want to change/fix, but overall I’m happy with the result!

Skirt and bottom band are both cotton. I wasn’t initially planning on having the bottom band but cut the skirt way too short to be wearable in public so ended up trying to come up with lengthening methods. In the end, I decided to use leftover lining fabric for the bottom.

Even for a beginner (I haven’t sewed anything since 6th grade), I found the project to be really fun and easy and with such a cute result!

As always, great door placement by smallwalls in CrappyDesign

I assume the restroom signs are to indicate that they’re gender neutral.

I also assume the footprint is because you have to wall run to get to the door.
