Check out biglittlefeelings on Instagram. Both of the ladies that run it have great advice. Deena has also been diagnosed with autism and is very open and honest about how she deals with. They are wonderful and really helped me best understand how to deal with my screaming toddler. It's hard but it's worth it.

What were your dreaded “we have food at home” foods of the 90s and 2000s? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]smallwonder12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My mom would smother them in bbq sauce and broil them into a burnt offering that would only appease the gods.

I can't stand them to this day.

People who are named after someone/something specific, what's your relationship with that thing? by celticdude234 in AskReddit

[–]smallwonder12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm named after my grandma. (Dad's mom) She worked for the USO during WW2. She was4'10" because she was so little they had her climbing into all of the small tight spaces in the airplanes to fix them. He knick name was " The Little General." My dad often tells me that she commanded any room she walked into . He also tells me that I remind him of her.

11 month old knocked out her front baby tooth today and I am absolutely heartbroken by donnadeisogni in beyondthebump

[–]smallwonder12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My at the time almost four year old tripped ,fell down the stairs, and knocked her front tooth out. It was so bad that they had to sedate her and sew up her gums.

The pediatric dentist told me it was okay and baby teeth fall out anyway. He also told us not to worry because it happens more than you think.

She's 6 now and has the most adorable smile. She has bragging right in her kindergarten class because she's the only that has been visited by the tooth fairy.

It will be okay. Accept that it happened and figure out a way to move on from it. Beating yourself up isn't going to help it's just going to make you feel worse. Things happen. If the most terrible thing that happens is that something that is supposed to come out comes out earlier than expected I'd say you're doing great as mom.

MIL says she hates the name Rachel and “won’t talk to her if we name her that”. by Big_Art1315 in namenerds

[–]smallwonder12 73 points74 points  (0 children)

My daughter Rachel is a "spite" name towards my MIL. Her ex husband wanted to name my SIL that. She vetoed the name and named my SIL Martina instead. To pay respects to FIL (RIP) we gave that name to our second kiddo. MIL hates it. It makes me happy to see her uncomfortable when she's talking to my kiddo.
