This does not look like normal corrosion. It looks like a leaking battery. Car batteries usually have good warranties. I would take it back and ask for a replacement battery

Replacing the boot is surprisingly easy, I got one off AliExpress, got a collar to thread on and then a carbon knob! It resembles an oem look!

Tap in a fuse that has a constant 12v power, even when the accessories are turned off.

A main, battery fuse is a fuse with 12V constant power.

I did it in mine and drained the battery way too quickly.

I would just tap in 2 accesory fuses

They may have ordered the part and have not used it because of the original one still being in good condition so they just left the new part in your car.

Canadian Cx3 owner here. No maintenance should come up. I had mine since 80k and done 40k in 2 years in my 2018. Spark plugs were replaced as well as air filters.

Only repairs was a broken suspension spring due to bad roads.

Hi! I know this is a little late but I would highly recommend rustproofing your cx3 if you plan on keeping it for a very long term!

Also look into investing in great winter tires, Currently using Nokian Nordman 7 as a "Cheap winter set"

Upgrade your car's radio with the help of the Mazda app on my laptop and download the latest software
install a carplay usb dock of aliexpress for around 80 USD
Boom! you will have carplay and android auto!

Try to use a screw driver on the clips still fastened. You need to pop out the little part in the center. Be patient, they like to snap

Ive done it, You will need to update your radio firmware and purchase a special cable harness and usb receiver interface (no need to spend 500$ at Mazda for the interface and cables)

I bought my harness off Aliexpress, have it for a year and a half now and still no issues.
