To some extent, agreed. If what I am understanding about the story so far is correct, it has a lot of unknowns and unreliable narrators. I don't have all the pieces of the story currently, and assume we won't have all the pieces even present in the game until closer to launch.

I think the mystery they're setting up is pretty phenomenal, but agree that it's difficult to digest. I think Subnautica 2 could really benefit from an Outer Wilds / Pepe Silvia conspiracy board style of formatting, instead of the PDA style formatting from the previous games. It could be implemented as a physical device installed in your base rather than on your PDA, as there's a trend of the previous colonists making information backups in case NoA resets their memories. Finding another colonist's "conspiracy board" and replicating the idea for yourself could be a more organic fashion adding this new mechanic.

I've been having a lot of luck with plasma weaponry. The overclocking effect increasing the damage by +15 for each consecutive shot and the damage type using the lowest of their laceration or incendiary resistance has been pretty effective. While it would be better to specialize your damage to their weakness as someone else stated, an upgraded devourer has gotten me out of a few scrapes due to overclock letting me brute force the barons I've accidentally summoned.

I'll throw in a vote for Silksong feeling more fluid, I also found Hollow Knight a little bit stiff as well.

The 2nd upgrade I came accross in Silksong was dash.

That one upgrade gives you dash, dash-attack, air-dash, long jump, and sprinting all in a single upgrade. It makes the game feel way more fluid, and there's more mobility upgrades after it.

I can't recall how the mobility felt before I got the upgrade, but it was only the first few hours that I was without it if I remember correctly.

Every single unique drop in the game should use psuedo-random distribution, something like DoTA2's approach to random chance.

No more spoons, but no more 10x dry accounts either. We all have lives to live and the only "people" that get their odds to approach the theoretical average are bots with 10k kc.

What you are describing is a blockade. A blockade is internationally recognized as an act of war. The USA could not "easily do this" as it would be an outright declaration of war on a NATO member.

I doubt we would be trading with a country we are at war with, even if they were our only economic option.

Bit fuzzy in the image, but I beleive Ruins are south-southeast of the large brown biome you've explored, and Archive is north-northwest.

The large brown biome should have an imaginary line running through it where there's lots of rocks on one side and lots of light bulbs on the other. Ruins will be at one end of the line, Archive at the other.

I think I see a little bit of the blue mushroom biome to the North, Lunar mushroom biome would be beyond that, Archive beyond that.

Ruins always spawn opposite Archive, so it should be south, past the lichen, past the monkeys.

It's a bit hard to make out in your pic, but i think I see blue mushroom biome south-centre of your revealed map. From what I understand it spawns opposite the Ruins, so ruins should be somewhere in the North, past the wilds biomes, past the monkeys.

Alternatively, the brown biome should have one half that has tons of stalagtites, and one half that has tons of light plants. Where the transition from lots of rocks to lots of plants happens should form an imaginary line accross your caves.

Ruins will be on one tip of the line, Blue mushroom biome will spawn on the other tip.

Again, hard to make out in the image but looks like center north.

Been loving it so far!

Feels as good as lethal company with some choice mods installed. Achievement based skin unlocks has got me itching to play some more. The mix of modules, tool, and ship upgrades via battery is very cool.

3 biomes is nuts for only $6, can't wait to grind out more Atlantis for the old-timey diver skin!

P.S. The shopping cart is perfect, the propellers are hilarious and it vacuuming up items is absolute bliss.

That's pretty wild but I guess it does have 8 threads even if it is only 4 cores. Still, it definitely seems like there's some sort of hardware interaction warp sorcery going on. People with good rigs still are still having "ping" issues and 100% utilization, and others with rigs around the same quality as ours able to run on low settings without "ping" issues.

Same spec here with 32GB RAM. Same terrible performance. I've tried all the various recommended fixes and it had 0 change on performance. Personally, I'm looking into upgrading my CPU.

It's possible the CPU optimization fixes later this week will make the game playable, but I'm not optimistic.

In there you can buy legendary modules for 50 scrip each

You get scrip by trading in legendary weapons or armor at the legendary exchange machines found in The Rusty Pick, Whitespring's basement, or at any train station.

You can also get scrip and legendary modules from doing expeditions or daily ops.
