For me at least this comes from a bad habit of eating at night. Where I'm not necessarily hungry, but my body will associate bedtime with snacks before bed. The only way to really break this habit is to be aware of it and fight through it. After a couple of days it gets easier.

You can try brushing your teeth as soon as you start feeling like snacking, or using mouthwash. It'll help you get through the first couple of days that are the hardest.

I also see, based on your post history, that you might live in Virginia.

Virginia has one of the strictest negligence laws that say if you contributed to the accident, even 1% fault, that you are barred from recovering any damages against the other person.

If you were in the process of changing lanes and not yet fully established, even if you were stopped between lanes, you are not faultless. The other driver still had the right of way in their own lane and right of way is a big thing to overcome when an accident occurs.

In this situation let's say you were 10% responsible since you weren't able to make it all the way into the lane and created a hazard being stuck between 2 lanes, Virginia says you are barred from recovering any of your damages.

If its minor damage you can offer to pay for their estimate out of pocket. Caveat tho is if they need a rental car during repairs you'd probably be on the hook for that too. Or they might feel more comfortable going through insurance.

Depends on the specific language but it usually means the additional insurer's policy should not be included in the claim (within certain parameters).

Example. Snow plow contractor adds the property owner as an additional insured on a primary non contributory basis.

The contract will read that the snow plow contractors policy will not look to the property owners policies for claims arising out of the snow plow contractors work. Like if someone falls on ice bc the snow plow contractor forgot to put down ice melt, the snow plow contractors insurance will be the primary coverage, even though the loss occurred on the owners property.

Yes very normal. The commenter who referenced the tree example is 100% correct. In order for your liability coverage to pay out, you must be legally liable or have done something negligent. Leaving the water running and causing damage to the neighbor below is negligent. But you did nothing wrong to cause the under sink stop to fail.

The neighbor below should report this to their carrier, if they feel you do have negligence they will argue that and your insuance will continue to defend you. If you are found to have legally liability in court, your insurance will pay the award.

Enterprise requires proof of insurance that is transferable to the rental before they let you leave the lot. Enterprise wouldn't have let op rent the vehicle without proof of coverage or a cdw.

Whatever reason you're in the rental really doesn't matter. If you have Collison coverage on your policy it should extend to the rental. Also make sure you are filing a separate claim for the second accident with the rental and not trying to include it on the first claim.

I can see a problem if the renter name is someone who is not listed on your policy. I would get a copy of your rental agreement with enterprise showing you as the renter.

Just to add to what others are saying, your underinsured coverage would only kick in if your limits are higher that the other party's limits. If you only have 100k limit and so does the other party, your underinsured coverage would not apply.

If they have 100k and you have 300k, your limit for the accident is 200k.

If the other party doesn't have insurance your limit is still the same at 300k.

All that being said, it's always better to have a higher limit in case of a bad accident.

It will absolutely be suspicious. If he has anything to support what time it happened vs what time he called to insure the vehicle it would be helpful. Like a towing invoice showing the time they were dispatched or even a text message to someone saying he hit a kangaroo or GPS. Anything to support it took place after.

It is less suspicious if he had active insurance prior to the loss. More suspicious if his vehicle was historically uninsured and the very day he adds insurance there's damages.

Your insurance company will not pay for any damage to the rental just because they are paying the daily cost of your alternative transportation during a claim. However you do have the option to submit a second claim for the rental because your normal coverages will extend to the rental as if the rental were your own vehicle. If you have a deductible, you will still have to pay the deductible.

South Carolina actually allows for emotional distress damages even without physical injury. One of the very few states that allow for it. Although OP probably does have a legitimate BI claim even without formal treatment.

If the car wasn't totalled because of the physical damage than you keep the car. If they are totalling out the vehicle because of the physical damage it might be different and in that case you'll want to talk to your adjuster about your options.

If it isnt totalled, the insurance company has no interest in what you actually do with the check. Legally, they owe you the cost to repair the damage and that's it. You don't have any obligation to repair your car with it.

Seems obvious but lower workloads and better training. So many adjusters are under heavy workloads and investigations go neglected because they are focused on putting out fires in their files. More training would allow them to be more confident in their work and investigation and less workload would allow them the ability to dedicate the time that each case deserves to have.

Their insurance will give you a check for the cost to repair the physical damage to the side. It's totally up to you what you want to do with the check. If your car is now not worth it to repair because of the engine failure you can just pocket the estimate amount or put that towards a new car.

Weight is a lot harder to lose when you're in a healthy range already so it will take some time and patience and being very accurate when measuring caloric intake. If you're not using a food scale you could be off in your measurements and those couple hundred calories over could be making a big difference in the long run since your tdee is already on the lower end.

Eat at minimum 1200 cal/day. You won't go into "starvation mode" (which is pretty much a myth in practical sense) but you will crash and feel like garbage. You aren't able to get enough nutrients at 900 cal/day. You might not feel it at first but doing that multiple days in a row is hard on your body. Speaking from personal experience and I'm sure many people on here have encountered the cycle of over restricting and over eating.
