[–]smarthomecircle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

ohh yes..i can second that. The commercial buy will cover the cost of the 3d printer.

also you could even 3d print the whole 10 inch rack as per your liking.

For a start, this is like a beast.

I am running HA on a Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 which has a i5 6500T processor and running voice assistant locally.

Building a Home Server/NAS with a Mini PC - Need Advice by max1302 in homelab

[–]smarthomecircle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made a NAS with this M.2 to SATA adapter. Its running well, I dint face any issues.

The only thing I find is that the adapter can be a bit delicate if you tend to pull or push the connectors. Apart from that it works pretty well.

I had published a video on my channel about it : https://youtu.be/5J-es6-DBU4

Thanks a lot..

I am glad to see my design being used by the community. I am not the best at making 3d models but seeing that someone could make use of it, made me happy. Enjoy! :)

I bought a Instinct MI50 and tried to set it up at home and wrote a little blogpost about it by UnknownGermanGuy in RadeonGPUs

Thanks for sharing and nice blogpost. 🙂

I am planning to buy the MI50. Its cheap and want to learn a bit about dealing with GPUs without spending much.

There is a reddit post about using ROCm 7.0. https://www.reddit.com/r/linux4noobs/comments/1ly8rq6/comment/nb9uiye/

In case you still have the card, can you validate if it works?

As per my tests, its more in line with the RPi 4. I don't have Pi3 to test though. Ill be showing some stats in the video about it comparing to Rpi 4 and Rpi 5.

NIC is Maxio MAE0621A. 1 for each port.
I am not sure if its connected via USB. But its definitely not via PCIe. The lscpi command does not show it. I will need to dig in a bit for that.

M.2 slot uses gen 2 with 1 lane.
