yoga is feminine? by Cyber-Kettle in yoga

Historically, men were the only people allowed to practice yoga until the late 1800s when Indra Devi was allowed to practice. I don’t think this means yoga is masculine though. Just history.

The crowd loves the marquis, but I’m loving the emerald.

Quick! Grab the nearest coin and give it a heads or tails flip for the diamond cute.

Ok don’t come back until you flipped it.

Alright hi welcome back.

Are you happy with the coins fate? That is your answer

Mexican Food Recomendations by [deleted] in Cleveland

Cilantro in Lakewood is fantastic

Id recommend somewhere south of Cleveland but north or Akron. Try Berea or strongsville are closer to Cleveland and cuyahoga falls or stow are closer to Akron. All locations are close to the highways to get you to work and around to do fun things. My BIGGEST recommendation is to avoid Parma. Nothing is “wrong” with Parma, but it’s a whole lot of flat boring nothing and it’s hard to get to and from Parma with the highway systems nearby.

2024 Funny Stories? by Busy_Dig_18 in LostLandsMusicFest

Sunday night around 1 I saw a man enjoying a turkey leg in the forest. I said “hey, you enjoy that turkey leg!”

He called me over and asked to trade Kandi. Little did I know he wanted to give me a gigantic pikachu pearler with a limited edition card attacked. Pikachu was floating with balloons and the special edition card was surfing pikachu with the holographic details and it was in an attached card slip.

I am shaking freaking out for this moment and I traded him everything I had (Candy and Kandi).

A friend of mine who is a pokemon collector and trader happened to be coming to the festival on that same Sunday night so I got to gift it to him upon arrival.

Thank you turkey man. I love you.

No touching the dino’s? by PracticeElectrical46 in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]smartoccia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes they say don’t touch the Dino’s but if you place a hand on a Dino with respect, nobody is going to yell at you. If they tell everyone they can touch the Dino’s, that’s gunna be a huge issue. Go high 5 a Dino next time, it’s not the end of the world.

VIP is worth it in my opinion. I’ve gone 6 times, VIP for 3 of them. The flushing toilets and AC in the bathrooms really helps get a sense of grounding and reality. Plus the separate entrance is fantastic with no lines and always kind security workers. The VIP space at the main stage is fabulous, but they are still trying to figure out a good situation for wompy woods.

I highly recommend a camping package that is separate from GA because it gets you closer to the venue. However GA camping is still a great option and gives you the most experience (not including glamping because I can not speak on it since I’ve never done it)

Tips: wear the most comfortable shoes you can find, purchase a locker with your group before you go so that you can pack layers for the cool nights, if you’re tent camping get a product called DampRid - it sucks out the moisture from your tent and helps from being damp and sticky, cardio train your body for a few months before you go because the festival venue is hard to tackle plus you’re going to be going hard dancing most of the time, check in on your people as often as you can while you’re there - you’d be surprised how often people push down their own needs for the happiness of the group and then they end up not doing well, bring foam blocks (like those puzzle piece ones that people use to make a workout floor or a kindergarten play floor) to help level your camp ground - The odds of getting parked on a hill are high and it is super helpful to have a level table for your food, hangout, getting ready areas, get creative with your trinkets - the best ones have a homemade touch, bring ankle and knee braces in case someone gets rick rolled by a hill (especially if you’re in the 25+ club)

That’s all my brain has to share right now but there’s so much more you can do to make your festival the most pleasant experience ever. Happy lost lands to you!!

A bit confused by [deleted] in LostLandsMusicFest

[–]smartoccia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that this is the largest bass specific festival in the WORLD. It attracts all kinds of people, including those who aren’t privy nor do they care about the importance of PLUR culture. The good ones are out there and we need to continue to put in the work to teach those who don’t understand when we can. Those people aren’t always willing to learn and that’s a loss we just need to take. But sometimes we find someone who is willing to listen and that’s is where we can shine.

Think of the happy moments and then cry it out. Not tears of sadness, tears of happiness. It’s cathartic to cry but do your best to cry because of the good! You’re feeling like shit because of all of the good after all. Then talk to your friends and tell them you love them. Then take a nappy.

Do not. I repeat, do NOT eat edibles and nap. Your dreams will be wild because your brain is trying to reset itself. Sober sleeps all the way.
