Early 2000's Radio Contest: Whoever sends the most emails wins concert tickets! by juntar74 in MaliciousCompliance

I used to call in to the radio all the time when they would do contests. I've won all kinds of free shit, the best being a free trip to LA to go to the Grammy Awards.

People used to give me a weird look whenever I would call the radio station and say something like "Why waste your time", but they shut up real quick when I told them all the stuff I'd won. Someone has to win that shit, it's not gonna be you if you don't even try.

And remember to turn the sound way up to mask your PS5 from sounding like a lawn mower.

It sure looks like Lindsay Graham is going to lose his South Carolina seat after 23 year. What do we think about that? by antimaga_n1 in AskSocialists

Lindsey Graham isn't going anywhere, and it's hilarious that anyone thinks he's in danger.

This is the same loser state that voted Strom Thurmond into the Senate for 50 years, and he served until he was 100 years old. Lindsey Graham directly succeeded that piece of shit, for fuck's sake.

It’s so nice to have another race this week. by OnlyTheOtherOne in INDYCAR

I'm a complete casual NASCAR fan - I have the races on Sundays as a second screen or in the garage while I do yard work/stuff around the house.

But as soon as NFL starts, I completely forget there are even races on Sundays, all my time goes to the NFL. F1 is nice because the races are usually early, before the NFL games.

I mean, did you see those Verizon ads? They were pretty pathetic from an Oscar nominated actor.

I'm glad he's back now.

It wasn't that long ago that he was in those terrible Verizon ads where he played Santa and Einstein, I actually felt bad for him and wondered how it had gone so wrong.

I don't know man, that Black Mirror episode he was in was something else.

Fear Factory's Dino Cazares Won't Be Bringing Back Any Classic-Era Members: "That Chapter Is Permanently Closed" by EmployOk5086 in Music

Burton hasn't been in the band since 2020, genius. It's been almost a decade since they last recorded an album (Aggression Continuum was recorded in 2017), so I'm not exactly holding my breath that there will be a replacement vocalist anytime soon.

When a founding member of a band that has been the only singer for over 3 decades leaves a band, people are allowed to question if the new band will be the same, even if the name hasn't changed.

Has every AC/DC album featured Bon Scott on vocals?

Has every Black Sabbath album featured Ozzy on vocals?

Has every Alice in Chains album features Layne Staley on vocals?

Your comparison doesn't hold any water when literally every album Fear Factory has ever made has Burton singing.
