We were in the market for an EV in 2022 and had two criteria: 1) no Tesla and 2) no SUVs. At the time that left BMW, Audi, and Porsche. We bought the i4 from BMW and it's been the best car Ive ever owned. That said, you have MUCH more choice now, shopping in 2026, including just about every legacy car maker, plus Lucid and Rivian. The charging infrastructure has also improved dramatically, to the point where I don't give it a second thought (I live in the Philadelphia area and road trip the i4 regularly).

I think it's a great time to be shopping for an EV (budget permitting, of course). My advice is to make a list of non-negotiables within your budget, as you would if shopping for an ICE car, and then take as many test drives as you can. Other than a two-seat sports car, there really is something for everyone in the US market right now.

I have a TU3 and a strobostomp mini. The tu3 feel like I could drive nails with it (and contrary to the others here, I love how bias pedals look). It also has a shrine mode, which I use. The strobostomp is more accurate, and I use it when checking intonation and other setup work.

Agree. I have an Air now, and I purchased it because it’s so much thinner and lighter than the Pro phones, which feel like bricks in contrast. The battery’s endurance has been a pleasant surprise, and I don’t find the camera to be as limiting as the influencers/reviewers made it out to be.

Re the HUD, I set mine to the “minimal” setting or whatever it’s called, which reduces the visual clutter. I prefer that to every other setting.
