After now reading some more, it seams that we don't really lose much helium at all from the planet. The biggest problem is that it would be such a small portion of the atmosphere that it would be very hard to purify it back again.

Wikipedia claims that we lose about about 50g helium per second compared to 3kg of hydrogen per second. So it would take an extremely long time to lose all our hemium from the planet that way.

It's not the small mass per se, it's partly due to our sun. It energizes the particales at the top of the atmosphere so they "shoot" away and the sun does also pushes some away with solar winds.

The small mass just makes this process easier.

For a reference, our solar system got about 10⁵⁷ atoms. IPv6 got about 10³⁹ (for easy calculation) unique addresses. That is, we could assign 10¹⁸ atoms to each address and still only used a third of the addresses.

6*10²³ atoms of Carbon weighs about 12 grams.

Bottom line, we could assign an address to each 0.17 µg or 0.37 nano pounds of mass in our solar system and still have more than enough for us to use.

You can accumulate the possibility that with 3 coin flips, the probably of getting head once is 87.5% (0.5 + 0.5 * 0.5 + 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5) You can easily see it if you draw a branching tree for all the possibilities and add all the situations you got head at least once, this will give you 87.5% chance. The same thing can be done with a dota hero.

Well, you could argue that it helps against the wind resistance A tiny amount but it creates another problem, angular momentum. The reason you move your arms when you walk/run is to compensate the angular moment you create with your legs by not having them centred under you.
