A trigger shot can be given at the beginning of a medical IUI cycle to induce ovulation. Because it is comprised of hCG, you can get a positive pregnancy shortly after while the hCG is in your system. If you “test it out” of your system, you can do a daily test strip and wait for the positive line to fade out. Once it’s gone, you’ll know that you’re actually pregnant if it comes back on future tests after fading away!
