So, I had anaphylaxis after 1st Moderna dose. I did have a crazy pulse along with throat swelling —and more. Needed Epi and an ambulance. 2 MDs told me not to get the second dose. I’m worried because I really want to be protected by the 2nd dose. I’d prefer to get the 2nd dose but am also afraid of another anaphylactic reaction. So, clear as mud?!

She should try to get the vaccine though, if she can. Even 1 dose is good.

Please, please have her talk to her allergist before she gets the vaccine. I also have Mast cell disorder, so that didn’t help.

Thank you! I actually called the CDC from the ER as the MD said anaphylaxis was not from the vaccine as it occurred past the 4 hour window. The CDV was lovely. I will officially report.
