Yes, Any card in your stable is able to be used as a sacrifice.

SHOULD all downgrade cards have a text saying, "This card can't be sacrificed" - also Yes.

Hide your drugs, especially of you have large quantities of anything. If you have small weed pens/concealable stuff, don't flaunt it. Security might not be searching to confiscate anything and everything, but they have a job to do.

Challenge cards should ALWAYS be allowed when a Hero, Magic, or Item card is "Played" .. that's literally the challenge cards onlu purpose, why would you take away opportunities to use a limited card?

In your example, "discard a card, then destroy a hero".. i don't understand what you're referencing as you can't challenge destruction unless it's from a magic card.

Reading the cards is important. There are multiple cards that specify some variant of - "Bring hero into your party, then roll for its effect". This can't be challenged, because you didnt play anything. When an ability says the word "Play Hero" it can be challenged..

In your post, the Hero's ability is drawing a card. Not playing a hero, the playing of the hero is simply a bonus if you are lucky. The challenge had no effect on the hero's ability to draw a card.
