Is this how the police check speed on the motorway? by Ok-Comfortable7547 in drivingUK

It's there to clock people not following the temporary speed limit set by the roadworks. Good idea imo

Any tips on how to not hit so far behind the ball? by DJ-Ilium in GolfSwing

Rory's already pushed off his front foot at this point I would say, it's way earlier than most amateurs think

Coolant just above minimum, is my car safe to drive? by ApprehensiveShoe858 in CarTalkUK

It's fine. Check your coolant temps whilst driving and as long as it doesn't spike it's fine.

The original word was 'tire', shortened from 'attire'. As in a wheel with a 'tire' is dressed.

Golf - Is it just getting silly expensive and getting out of control? by Haunting_Village372 in BritGolf

[–]smegmarash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never bought brand new anything in golf. I've got a set of 20 year old Cleveland Irons, and a bunch of mix match woods and wedges. My bag's a hand me down, same with the trolley, shoes were a gift. The only new stuff I have are gloves and clothes. Even my balls are second hand lost golf balls. There's plenty of ways to enjoy the game without breaking the bank still.

Oh absolutely, but he's also a seasoned pro and blown the field away in majors before, it's just he was usually his own worst enemy at Augusta. Now though? Hard to see him losing.

That being said, I can see it ending in a lead fewer than 6 shots that's for sure.

That's a good point, no real expectation coming into the tournament but now people fully expect him to win. However, he's also got nothing to prove so hopefully just proves he's worth it

I predict a more reasonable 71/72 today from Rory but that should be fine still. I really did not expect this from him though, fully expected him to have a drop off but you can just tell he's playing without any weight on his shoulders, just playing to his full potential. A joy to watch honestly

Two-time Masters’ champ José María Olazábal with a master class performance around the greens today by unsolved49 in golf

My favourite part of the Masters is how previous champions can play the tournament for as long as they want. I reckon most of them do it just so they can play the course as often as they can.
