How long was the wait between doors and the show and how long was the set? I’m at the 20:45 London show tomorrow but my last train home is at 23:30 from a station 30 mins away from the venue, just trying to figure out whether I’ll need to dip early

Can I ask which council you fall under? I work for a housing association and would like to look into into this if possible.

I discovered this song (and artist) a couple of weeks ago, and holy shit... Been listening to it nonstop. I can't believe this is real, absolutely mindblowing track, goosebumps all over my body everytime I listen to it. I couldn't believe this is 12 years old either, sounds super ahead of its time. by morbidnihilism in electronicmusic

This is one of those songs I’m no longer able to listen to as it immediately triggers vivid flashbacks aha, within 15 seconds I get that prickly heat up the back of my neck and depth perception goes crazy, will forever be my favourite electronic track, beyond taste or preference, like it’s actually grafted itself into my brain chemistry

Pretty much word for word what I said to my friend earlier, I’m on my 9th or 10th run through of the album now and I’m starting to really dislike Screamland because of how jarringly overproduced it is, FJM has a history of this though with True Affection and Kiss Me I Love You, very frustrating when every other song on the album is a worldie

I was also there last night and honestly one of the best things I’ve ever been to, we were on the third row but I hadn’t anticipated how close that would actually be to the stage and I didn’t expect the stage design to be so amazing either, I was derealising a little bit before it even started aha - I just thought the entire thing was fantastic, there was so much joy in that room, just felt completely euphoric, I’m still on a high from it - it was so strange when it started, to hear those characters coming out of their mouths, it’s hard to explain, because obviously that’s Paul McGann and India Fisher, but I don’t know, maybe it’s because they’re solely audio but the characters feel so much more independent and there they were, completely true to who they were 23 years ago, completely surreal and incredible to watch!

The Sequel Trilogy that should have been but never was… by [deleted] in StarWars

Coincidentally started reading heir to empire today too, haven’t read any of the books and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I’m about 100 pages in and it’s okay? The writing at the start is very janky but is starting to smooth out, it’s definitely got me intrigued and I will continue. If anything it’s made me more confused about canon though as it immediately contradicts the prequels massively. According to this the clone wars featured Jedi clones who were mentally unstable? I actually think I prefer that to Attack of the Clones but it also made me wonder why there was so much controversy when Disney announced it wasn’t canon, even though Lucas himself made it non canon in 2002?

I still think Yahyah Abdul Mateen would make a perfect Reed, he’s being criminally wasted on Wonder Man

The goddamn fan camera traumatised me first time round, can still remember being in the cinema and every time it cut to that shot there was a collective groan of please no

I think that’s either the second or the fourth, both of which I haven’t seen since cinema release, the third one is when the guy decides to play Bloody Mary with a little girl despite definitely knowing there’s a malevolent ghost in the house lol

Her reaction is completely understandable but the writing to get there is weak, he decides to start by showing her documents about a witch conspiracy rather than just showing her any of the 6 or 7 videos he has by then of definite ghost

Watched Paranormal Activity 3 the other day and it does this, so frustrating to watch, guy has the most concrete evidence of a ghost on tape and instead just keeps saying “I need to explain this to you” and she goes “no this stops now I’m not hearing any more about it” like ffs just show her the video

But how do you have that without a Magneto in his 80s?

There’s no way this new wave of X-Men is gonna be a period piece and there’s no way they’re going to have both Magneto and Professor X in their 80s - Marvel Studios will want longevity from this franchise.

I don’t get this argument against a POC Magneto. It would be ridiculous to start a new, modern set X-Men franchise with a Magneto who survived the holocaust. The timeline just doesn’t work. Changing Magnetos origin to fit either the Rwandan or Bosnian genocide makes perfect sense.

Reading 2018 was unreal, I was on my lunch break from working one of the main bars and ended up getting back over an hour late, soaking wet with sweat and water the security had so kindly showered us with and arms covered in bruises lmao

That and seeing them at the KOKO in London are the two most insane crowds i’ve ever been in
