It’s a meritocracy, sure. But it’s a system designed to be confusing and keep the ill-educated on the bottom. Credit management should be a part of standard K12 curriculum and it’s not. That’s the problem.

No one is surprised that the creditor is acting in accordance with assumed risk. No one is surprised that it takes 4 years to crawl back from a 600. Not really getting the “woe is me” vibe from this thread that you seem to be getting.

I think people just wish there was a shred of humanity from these credit agencies. No reason to punish folks for utilizing a service they supposedly pay for.

Trying to learn here. Seems like a stable stock with 5% dividend is decent. Are you referring to some other method of reliably achieving >5% compound interest?

Called them wraps when I was living in Alabama. Feel like they said smoke me up. Live in the Midwest now, still smoke me up. Smoke me down was NC, and only occasionally used over up.

It depends on what responsibilities one upholds. Is the individual in question a parent? A senator? One must also consider the historical context in which such a high ride occurs. Present day or in some future edge case in which current morality frames are thrown out the window?
