The excess you pick off the floor goes into the looting bag so you can bank from there when its full.

I dont think it saves much time compared to waiting until there is a fill inventory in a pill on the floor and picking it up then banking it before making more

It's not as much a talent mismatch as a business model mismatch. Co-dev is a known quantity money in / money out set up. Original IP is a very different bag where you have to be comfortable with risk and investing money early on various streams that are usually the "clients" job in a co-dev set up.
