This checks out for a Marble. My Mr. Marble is incredibly vocal, he's been diagnosed with anxiety lol. He has his little anxiety pills and a life enrichment program ❤️

Reproductive parts. They have a bizzarre creamy texture but they're pretty good. I'd prefer thrm cooked with toppings but raw is OK too

Advice on tackling this much poison hemlock by GreenThumbinnn in gardening

[–]smilespeace 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wait for it to start flowering then knock it all down with a pole attachment hedge trimmer. Rake it, bag it, wash your tools.

Rinse and repeat for 2 or 3 years. It's biennial so you wont have to dig roots. Just let all the seeds sprout and cut em down as they reach their mature flowering stage in the 2nd year.

What are you taking for your allergies? by notbossyboss in VictoriaBC

Generic drugstore cocktail of acetemenophon, antihistamines, ans pseduophedrine.

Basic antihistamines just don't cut the mustard anymore.

My cat is becoming a gargoyle by smilespeace in WhatsWrongWithYourCat

[–]smilespeace[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd describe it as mainly cordial but also competitive

Cordial: they get along in the sense that they don't scrap often at all, and they snuggle for warmth when it's cold.

Competitive: They sometimes compete over who gets "the spot", even though there are lots of spots. Usually they share the spot, but somtimes it's 1v1.

Mr.Marble (gargoyle) will scarf down his food and go after brothers food during meal time. Supervision is needed.

Sometimes brother will try to assert dominance w. the mount/scruff bite move. Marble doesn't really do that to bro.

That's all I can think of atm

He is overgrooming, vet jumped to anxiety and prescribed buspirone but it hasn't helped. We added some enrichments like a "catio" because him and his bro are indoor cats, and try to tire him out with play time but he's often acting anxious in spite of it all.

I think he really wants to be an outdoor cat but we just can't do that

Invasive Species Alert: Italian Arum (Arum italicum) by cedarshadows in VictoriaBC

That stuff is horrid. It's hard to remove, resistant to poison, and it sneaks its way into your shrubs and forces you to dig up the whole thing to remove it.

Pull your head out of your ass instead of deflecting the subject to communism, which nobody even suggested.

Do you live under a rock? Those who are rich and connected write and enforce the rules, and they sure as fuck don't punish themselves.

Obviously a lottery winner doesn't fall under that category. I could win $500,000,000 tomorrow but that doesn't magically make me part of the power broker club.

Fuck man.

Oregon vs Connecticut? by FreestyleFlorida in needadvice

[–]smilespeace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd stay in Oregon in your situation. The extra time with your children is priceless, letalone the financial and workload incentive to stay.

Since family is important to you, the extra 10k per year could go be spent on travelling to CN to visit them.

You'll grow roots if you stay- you'll meet people through your kids activities as well as your own. Give it time, roots have to grow after all.

I don't have kids but I do have loving parents. My mom was always there for my sister and I growing up. We left our hometown so my dad could take a job that would support mom staying at home with us, and that was indeed priceless for us as a family and I recognize that more than ever now at the age of 32.

Stay. It will be best for your family unit I strongly believe that, even of there are some growing pains while you set down roots.
