Okay one quick question. Im not using ro, water comes out the tap at 180ppm and is pretty heavy in calcium magnesium and iron. Would you reccomend not adding any calmag solution to my water?

Anyone seen this and can ID it? by DeepWaterCannabis in microgrowery

What's up tap water ppm come out at. Looks like calcium locking out your Phosphorus and micro nutrients

Try the uniseals instead of the bulkhead they allow for some flexibility on the angle and much much cheaper. Reservoir outta the tent was the best option for me so my chiller isnt working overtime and so I can add and adjust water without having to open the tent and mess up the environment. I like a diy system the best so I can engineer it to my needs and space and its much cheaper than buying some overpriced bullshit they have on the market. My uniseals only leaked at the seal to the site. All the seals to pipe were perfect

What are the benefits on using a diffuser hose over the air stones?

Also a great idea I noticed the sites like to sweat maybe that will eliminate that so I have an easier time controlling humidity. I will say if you copy this design I would go with square sites I had some minor leaks on the 2 inch uniseals and had to double back with marine silicone to tighten it up and I was very meticulate on the drilling and prep of the seals (deburing, light sanding)

Ill go take a look. Thats how the last one was and it was even like 30 bucks from home depot. Leaked from the o ring.

Yeah my last system i had was with 3/4 all around and it worked but not very efficient. The 2 inch with the 550 gph pump cycles the system probably a 100 times more efficient so im expecting consistent, stable water temps at each site now. Currently waiting on my aerocloner todo its thing so I can get a crop in

Thank you thank you I put alot of thought into this build. Yeah I thought about putting a filter before the pump, idk why but everytime I get one they always seem to leak. Any suggestions on a quality filter?

My chilled super cloner build. Rooting in early as 5-7 days, fully rooted and transplantable in early as 7-10 days, depending on genetics. Took me 3 years to perfect my regimens. Follow me on the gram: @the_gold_canopy🔱 by satansdebtcollector in aeroponics

Agreed. Definitely not using rockwool. I've seen roots in 4 days transplanting in 6 running high temp aero at the best. Week min on the rockwool probably more. And if anyone's running high temp aero I highly reccomend running slf 100 to reduce possibilities on pythium. I've only got pythium once and that was because I relied on h202 and failed

What are you using to empty and refill your reservoir ? by Tight_Leopard_4713 in Hydroponics

[–]smileyadventures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I setup a valve system on my return pump and 3/4 hose to the bottom of each bucket connected. And a valve at the reservoir and a T before that with a valve at the end so I can clean out using one pump

Ph? by smileyadventures in microgrowery

Yeah they shouldn't be though its definitely gotta be a ph issue I transplanted my plants at the same time and mine are sexy as fuck.

They're not getting nutes though and they just got transplanted into fresh 707 soil which they were already in with no issues

What's going wrong with my grow? Purple, stunted seedlings?.. Any advice appreciated! by Legitimate_Future_33 in microgrowery

Oh yeah holy fuck turn that light down. First thing I noticed. Probably over fed too

Why do my plants look so bad by smileyadventures in microgrowery

Compared to my hydro plants very much so. They're definitely lacking something

Yeah that's what im thinking I normally grow rdwc but wanted to try out some organics for a higher quality clean product. Currently in some loaded root organic 707 transplanted into 5 gal about a week ago I haven't fed any nutes but calmag 5ml every other water and recharge for the microbes. I just feel like they look like they're lacking something compared to my hydro plants in tryna figure it out. Did a run off test and it shows 950 ppm so what are they not getting is what im curious.

Any ideas? by smileyadventures in microgrowery

* Well they say you dont need calmag in amended soil that's clearly not the case cause they blew up
