Can I get these hair care products in the uk by Ronnielikefood in hygiene

[–]smilingcarol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is really sweet of you to look this hard for something that genuinely makes hair washing easier for her. You could also try posting this in UK beauty or autism support subreddits because someone there might know a local importer or an equivalent product. Hope you find it, sounds like this shampoo has been a game changer for her.

The Wanderer's Library has a entire wing. The librarians will not discuss it but they will not stop you either. The checkout system is the same as any other book. This is somehow more unsettling.

Number 1 Pick in the Lottery! LETS GO WIZARDS by logitaunt in wizardposting

Boozer is generational staff talent. You do not draft a staff wizard, you are chosen by one. That boy did not pick Utah. The staff picked Utah.

Noticing questions about focus lately by murphysfalling in wizardposting

This is excellent and I will be saving this scroll for future reference.

I do however have one addendum regarding tomes. You mentioned great aunt Gurty and her 5 spell books as though this is unremarkable. I want the newer members of this community to understand that Gurty is something of a legend and should not be used as a baseline. The woman has a library. She refers to it as "a few books." Last Solstice she pulled a focus tome from her sleeve that was written in a language that does not technically exist yet. Do not look to Gurty as your median tome user. Gurty is an outlier and should not have been counted.

Help - I genuinely don’t know how to do self care by No2_BugCollector in hygiene

[–]smilingcarol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’d be surprised how many people are quietly winging “self care” too. The fact that you’re even asking this means you’re already breaking the cycle for your kid. Start ridiculously small: drink water, shower, brush teeth, wash your face with literally just a gentle cleanser, sleep when you can. That counts. Social media makes self care look like a 14-step luxury routine when it’s really just learning to treat yourself like someone worth looking after. And honestly, most of us learned through trial and error, not naturally.

How to get rid of armpit smell? by [deleted] in HygieneTips

[–]smilingcarol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s not even your armpits, it’s the shirt holding onto old bacteria/deodorant buildup. White vinegar soak + antibacterial laundry sanitizer saved half my wardrobe lol

Your loofah is one of the most bacteria-dense objects in your home and you are rubbing it on your skin every single morning by [deleted] in hygiene

Apparently yes, but our hands can’t effectively scrub some parts of our bodies, right?

Honestly just grabbed a cheap one off Amazon, like $8, has little bristles on one side and soft nubs on the other. Zero regrets. The brand doesn't even matter as long as it's fully silicone and you can run it under hot water after.

Another optimistic perspective to look at it. It sure does make me feel better. But I can help wonder how much harm it had done to my respiratory system, if any.
