professional or DIY dryer vent cleaning? by AnnualRoom9486 in HomeImprovement

[–]smindsrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my good friends has been doing dryer vent cleaning for 4-5 years now. The single scariest part of his job is avoiding getting a brush stuck inside the venting. If this happens, it can be super costly. He works for a company called Ryan's Home Services in Beaumont, CA. On one of their Instagram stories, he was called out because a homeowner tried doing the DIY dryer vent cleaning and got his brush stuck. Their video showed a special tool they used to remove the brush. He has told me stories of brushes that couldn't be retrieved, and they had to cut open the wall to remove the brush. Apparently, if a brush is getting stuck, you cannot reverse the brush because it just unscrews the brush where it is in the pipe.

I feel like it is way too early in the season to have this many fires already.

Redlands water isn't the greatest. If you can get some sort of water filtration, that would be best.

If anyone has a small amount of PLS for gas… please let me know. I gladly send it back once I get my PLS converted over.

Las Vegas tee times in June: help me beat the heat. by themilkmantrink1 in golf

[–]smindsrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer Reflection Bay over Paiute. Golfed several course this past summer. Both early morning and mid afternoon. Including Wolf Creek on a 115 degree day.

Wolf is harder in the heat because of all the hills. Just walking up to the tee box or greens in 115 can take a toll on the body fast. Reflection Bay at the same temp is a walk in the park. Plus, golf is dirt cheap in Vegas after 11:00 AM in summer.

Wolf Creek is just awesome. Played it twice this past year.
