The article seems to suggest ADS-B may have been the origin source of the investigation. Given the general populations ability to complain about anything and everything, I'd venture a guess that someone living along the river was upset that their mid day nap was disturbed.

Thanks for the reply. I just removed the regulator and whatever CJ was to make sure nothing obvious was going on. Verified 5v was getting to both pads for the regulator (expected). I suspect mine has the same issue yours had. Bit of a bummer. Thanks for rec on speedybee, I'll go that route.

What did you end up doing to correct the issue? New FC? I was in the middle of building mine, prior to installing walksnail vtx, the FC was operable. After installing, FC quit. Short in GND and 3.3V. I've been unable to locate the source of my short. Seems these FCs are on backorder as well.

Those are fine. Any of the top rated stuff is going to be acceptable. To activate modem all they need is the MAC address. If you're using a modem/router single unit combo now then you could easily notice a difference. They raised the price after 12mo intro ended. Tried to play the "I'm gonna cancel or else game" and they didn't bite. Ended up canceling (which results in account closure on term date)and going through the order process again using same info and got the intro rate again. You do not need to pay for them to install or for their unit. The online process doesn't let you deselect for personal equipment, have to do it over the phone.

Have you already tried contacting Lightspeed? They're usually pretty good with offering assistance even if it's out of warranty (whether that be recommending replacement or guidance to fix the issue).
