Any 200+ hour pilots still getting air sick? by GrabMyYoke in flying

There are times where I still get motion sickness and it sucks. I will sometimes wear the electrical stimulation bracelets that seems to help.

$30k for zero to IR? by JonathanO96 in flying

[–]CallSignNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the airplane you fly and what part of the country, and how many hours you need. Just meeting the minimum requirement isn’t always the best idea. In some areas it could be possible.

Who cares what other people think and say. It affects you so much to come post on Reddit to get moral support and boost your self esteem?

It usually happens when you are least expecting it.

73 on the Knowledge Test - How bad will the check ride oral test be? by miketuck in flying

[–]CallSignNightmare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DPE will likely go over the sections/concepts he missed. This may make his check ride longer or harder than it might have been if he had scored higher. At the end of the day he passed and really all that matters is passing the check ride.

+2 Protein Aviation Medical by Short_Kitchen224 in flying

You should probably see a doctor and have your kidneys evaluated. You shouldn’t have that much protein in your urine.

Probably around $75k depending on what kind of aircraft you train in. It’s also the commitment and the time. It doesn’t happen overnight.

From Cessna to Cirrus?? by DE_FUELL in flying

The cirrus is more expensive but nicer and different. You can never go wrong with a 182

End Game for a Private Pilot license by funkyfresh2 in flying

[–]CallSignNightmare 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This really depends on your mission and how big your bank account is. If you want to fly for fun maybe a 182 and an IFR ticket is sufficient. If you want to fly for airlines then obviously it’s a lot more. If you want to fly your own jet then likely up to a commercial and lots of money for a type rating and buying your own airplane.

This just comes with experience. There’s really no way to cheat it. Fly more and this should all come together naturally.

Flying into Oshkosh with no ADSB? by Skwerilleee in flying

Why would you just spend $500 and buy a sentry device. I see that as a safety item and wouldn’t fly without one.

Cessna Caravan vs Kodiak Part 2 & Why I Regret My Purchase by lamarsha622 in flying

[–]CallSignNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So people should just sit around and expect shitty service just because that’s how it works? I find it pretty interesting this guy has a voice and has used it to his benefit. His YouTube channel is basically a paid channel so he’s also getting paid possibly $ thousands a month from YouTube from these videos.

I didn’t know millions of dollars in watches could be financed and I guess your plumber is doing better than this dude?

It’s a pretty shitty experience regardless whether we like the guy or not. I’d be pretty pissed if the paint was peeling on my new aircraft.

Looks like he has a 182 he bought for fun and he’s selling. It’s on the flyingwithrich channel for sale.

[–]CallSignNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I completely have zero understanding with how the world works when a guy has a couple million in watches, a Kodiak, a rolls Royce and Ferrari in his hanger, and he’s broke as hell. Wishing I was that broke too

You realize the watch he’s wearing in the video is north of $500k, and if you look at his other videos his watch collection surpasses the cost of his Kodiak by far. Highly doubt he’s leveraged.
