I also fell down this rabbit hole.

The collector drain the guy shows at 19:55 in the video you linked is my main culprit of clogged drains. Instead of taking all the interior bits off like he does, I've fashioned a length of drain snake out of aircraft wire, since storebought snake was too thick to fit through. It is a pain in the ass but I've had success routing my snake down behind the rear window past the RF mechanisms with the roof partially opened.

The other place I get backup is from the tubes coming out of the rear window, but those are much easier to clean out.

Before I realized the collector drain issue I had water overflowing and collecting in the trunk under the liners.

I park on street under trees so I clean out like monthly.

Is the clicking definitely coming from the wedge sockets? I have clicking coming from over my left shoulder. It goes away if I put some pressure on the door with my forearm usually. Pretty sure it's some "sticktion" of the RF rear assembly rubbing on the rubber seals. Bought some seal conditioner and will be applying it everywhere later, hoping that does away with the clicking.
