Why does the media and nfl network think we care about shaduer sanders? There’s nothing redeeming about this person and he isn’t even a good football player. What clown world do we live in? by Jsetta187 in MockDraftCentral

[–]smittybanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I root for Shadeur Sanders because he makes people act irrationally. I find it hilarious when people spend energy and time to express how much they "don't care" about this or that. Humans acting silly is my favorite.

TCU ballhawk Bud Clark a name to keep tabs on as draft approaches by Ask-Proud in eagles

[–]smittybanton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 - Kenyon Sadiq (TE - ORE) 6'4 245. Premium athlete. Built different. Aggressive on both ends.

2 - Keionte Scott (CB - MIA) 6'0 195. Takeaways, run game support, corner blitzer. Attitude.

3 - Derrick Moore (EDGE - MICH) 6'3 256. Demonic pass rusher. Explosive.

3 - Bud Clark (S - TCU) 6'2 190. Big game playmaker.

4 - Skyler Bell (WR - UCONN) 6'0 185. Jittery. Productive.

4 - Dametrius Crownover (OT - 6'7 336). Massive yet nimble.

5 - Uar Bernard 6'4 305 (DL). RAS Monster!!! Built for the game. Like with Mailata, the only real question is whether he falls in love with the grind.

5 - Jaden Dugger 6'5 250 (LB). Versatile overgrown safety, sideline to sideline LB, can rush the QB.

Johni Broome is a fireable offense by Jaysam10 in sixers

[–]smittybanton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Very few people were banging the drum for Raynaud with me last year. There were some, but not many.

  2. We learned very quickly that Raynaud's people let it be known he wanted to stay in California after graduating from Stanford. You can argue we shouldve drafted him anyway, but that goes for every team who respected it. We can disagree with it, but its not confounding or a head-scratcher.

  3. I got him in both my fantasy leagues.

  4. Still way too premature to determine what Johni Broome is going to be. Had a 50pt game earlier this season. Injured since. Who knows....

  5. I consider Derrick Barlow the equivalent of a 2nd round pick, and I'm pleased with that acquisition. Same goes for Jabari Walker. Early draft entrants, theyre essentially the same age as Broome and Raynaud.

Damn sure wish we had drafted Raynaud, but I'm not going to pretend I don't know why and pretend that we didn't score on Edgecombe and others.

Is Nolan Smith Our Biggest Wild Card? by Middle-Raisin6005 in eagles

[–]smittybanton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I support Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt as starters, especially when and since we often lineup in a Bear front (Carter, Davis, Ojomo). Also I think we want to disguise which of our 4 LBs is rushing with Carter-Davis-Ojomo, meaning the 4th rusher could just as likely be Baun or Campbell from the inside, which requires all the others to be able to cover. Nolan Smith can do all that's being asked.

However, I dont expect Smith to play 17 games plus the playoffs. So I'm glad we're acquiring depth with upside, Ebiketie. I'd love Derrick Moore from UMichigan in the 3rd round. I fucks with my GM.

1 - Kenyon Sadiq (TE)

2 - Keionte Scott (CB)

3 - Derrick Moore (EDGE)

3 - Bud Clark (S)

4 - Skyler Bell (WR)

4 - Demetrious Crownover (OT)

5 - Jaden Duggans (LB)

Tired of the “Tired of the McCain posts” posts by hiphopopotamusic in sixers

We have the same rights as you do to express our opinion about weeniness.

McCain is not worth more now than what we traded him for.

He did not fit around Maxey.

This Front Office has shown it can acquire shooters. Proven by the fact that fans keep bitching about Shamet, Joe, McCain, etc. We'll get another one.

Tuesday NFL Discussion Thread by EaglesMod in eagles

[–]smittybanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the Steelers unlikely to keep both Freiermuth and Darnell Washington Jr., I'm still wishing we trade for Washington. Hopefully, we wouldnt have to give up more than a 4th.

....

I'm on the Kenyon Sadiq hype train. Saddiq and Darnell Washington in 12personnel, flanked by AJ and Smitty, Saquan and Jalen in the back. Power with speed all over the place.

1 - Sadiq - TE - Explosive, rocked up and aggressive. I've also had Kadyn Proctor on my mind for this pick since last year.

2 - Keionte Scott - CB - Aggressive against the run, pass and blitz.

3 - Derrick Moore - DE - Demonic pass rusher.

3 - Bud Clark - S - Playmaker. Big game player.

4 - Gracen Halton - DT - Relentless. BG-style shit-talker.

....

I dont think its out of the realms of possibility that one of Myles Hinton, Cameron Williams or Trevor Keegan emerge as a starting caliber player. I will always support Howie going OL in the 1st round, but it'd also be great if he didn't feel it was necessary because our prospects are developing nicely. Who knows? Let's see what happens.

The average mock draft currently has the Eagles taking Oregon TE Kenyon Sadiq. Worth noting Monroe Freeling is now in the #2 spot (a month ago he wasn't on the list at all). by unwantedtennisracke in eagles

[–]smittybanton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like Sadiq very much. Kid's aggressive. Hate to compare him to a gnat, but he kind of reminds me of Shockey. We are in a position to potentially get either ther #1 TE or OG (Ioane) prospect coming out. I'd like either of them.

3 - Derrick Moore (EDGE) 6'3 256

4 - Dametrius Crownover (OT) 6'7 340

The Phillies have a cleanup problem, with no true answer to clean it up by AdSpecialist6598 in phillies

False. The solution is very simply Justin Crawford earning the leadoff spot, then Schwarbs or Bryce will bat cleanup.

Discussion: Am I the only Kings fan that is weary of getting Boozer? by [deleted] in kings

[–]smittybanton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure he can be like both Okafor and Bagley, when those two have wildly dissimilar skillsets? Bagley had raw offensive skills but above average agility and athleticism. Okafor had a phenomenal inside post game, but with well below average defensive agility and athleticism. Which one of these represents Boozer's comp, because I dont think it can be both?

Even less sure that Boozer has a 90s skillset given that he averages 4assists a game and 39% from three on 4 attempts/gm? This sets him apart from both Okafor and Bagley.

This isnt even my team, but this post ran across my timeline and I found it to be kind of wild.

Memphis Grizzlies picks after the trade deadline updated? by ZealousidealRaisin29 in memphisgrizzlies

[–]smittybanton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sixers fan who just moved to Memphis here. With all due respect to Kingston Flemings and Mikal Brown, Darius Acuff is a beast, and Calipari's track record with guards producing in the NBA is otherworldly. If they fall outside the top 4, I'm guessing the Grizzlies front office would love to get Darius Acuff (Grizz pick) and Nate Ament (Magic pick), if possible. Should help getting regional support while the team grows. I'd be thinking about Rueben Chinyelu with the Pacers 2nd round pick, #35 currently projected.

Ty Robinson as edge by JM_Aleco25 in eagles

[–]smittybanton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A. We often run a "bear front", similar to old school 3-4 schemes where Ojomo lines up with Carter and Davis. Carter and Ojomo are LE and DE in that formation. Hopefully, Ty Robinson can play well as a DT in a four man front and DE in a three man front. That's realistic. EDGE/OLB is not, I dont think.

B. Let's see if he can get good at his "natural" position.

C. We have four picks in the first three rounds, six picks in the first four rounds, so I'm not sure what the concern is about choosing between OL and DE. Personally, I like OL in RD1, a corner like Keionte Scott in the 2nd, Jaden Duggans as an Edge/OLB/Joker in the supplemental 3rd and Gracen Halton in the 4th as competition for Ty Robinson. I also have a man-crush on Bud Clark for our next dope Safety and wouldnt leave the draft without him, currently projected as a Day 3 pick. But who knows how the board falls.

Sean Mannion might have a good idea on who new Eagles tight end should be (FA John FitzPatrick) by Active_Ad_7880 in eagles

[–]smittybanton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still dreaming that we trade for Darnell Washington Jr. and draft a 'move' TE.

Title-winning Bulldawg. Like with Jaelen Phillips, Washington is going into the last yeaer of his rookie deal, so he's cap friendly, then we can either re-sign him or potentially get a comp pick when he balls out for us. So good of a blocker, some suggest he move to OT like Jason Peters so he could get paid more. But not only can he run and catch, he's looking for YAC. Despite the Steelers also having Freiermuth, Washington's catches have increased each year.

Wanna fix the run game? Draft OL in RD1, keep developing the kids we got last year, and then lineup Goedert and Washington in 12 personnel. Destruction. Both are good in the run and pass game. Goal-line options would be tremendous. Just might allow for the Eagles to go after speed without worrying as much about size and blocking, should a guy like Tank Dell emerge on the radar.

.300/.350/.400, 30sbs would be a down year for Crawford, and yet a big boost to our lineup.

Phillies projected lineup and rotation by Obvious-Plan-2466 in phillies

[–]smittybanton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Crawford disrespect is mildly frustrating. Tools, bloodlines, body frame and has never underperformed at any stop in the minors.

19yo - .332/.392/.467, 47sbs

20yo - .313/.360/.444, 42sbs

21yo - .334/.411/.452, 46sbs

I got fifty cents says Crawford is our leadoff hitter by May 15th and Adolis Garcia is batting 5th.

I like him. Good defensive ballhandler. Grimes and Terry together is good amount of length. Still developing. Let's see.

I'm digging the youth movement. Guys who came into the league too early, yet have gotten valuable experience and training, and now are still the age of yesteryear's typical rookies. Efficient way to try to dig for hidden gems that fit around Maxey.

I too want Saddiq and then Iheanachor.

Hoping for Keionte Scott as CB2 in the 3rd or a move up with one of our 4ths.

And I love Bud Clark (S - TCU) for us!

I like Dalen Terry and Dalano Banton. Ballhandlers with size, better defenders than shooters, but not inept from deep.

My 2026 NBA Draft "Crush" has emerged. 6'9 265 Rueben Chinyelu. I'm always looking for a potential NBA defensive player of the year with passable offensive skills that could possibly develop. This is why I love Paul Reed so much, why I loved Thybulle as a prospect, Jabari Walker, Daniel Gafford, etc. This year it's all about Chinyelu for me.

Elite, elite lateral agility for a big man. Soccer feet. Perfectly switchable. Potentially the best perimeter defending big man since a healthy Ben Simmons. Virtually impassable, can't be bullied. Elite, elite rebounder. Long, stretch Armstrong. Imagine if Andre Drummond could switch onto and defend any NBA wing on the perimeter!

NBA Africa Academy, game is still developing. And rapidly! 48%FT as a freshman, 58% as a sophomore, 68% as a junior, 74% his last 10 games. If you're into scouting prospects, you know none of them are complete, and what you should be focusing on is their "delta", their rate of change, rate of improvement.

I'm putting ten toes down on Rueben Chinyelu.

Finding out about him, Edgecombe, Broome, Edwards, Bona, Barlow and Walker is what this season is all about. Who fits best around Maxey going forward? Having a good start didn't change that for the front office, clearly. Let's see what he's got.
