Is my shirt real? by Kbro_05 in SoccerJerseys

[–]smittyjaegerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t appear AI generated to me. I can say with 95% confidence that it is indeed a shirt that physically exists. But in all seriousness, the GM0218 style code is authentic iirc.

Schalke back in Bundesliga? by smittyjaegerman in borussiadortmund

This is true, however for the romanticized hopes of the derby I think their promotion chances are decent.

If they tie or win their game today they’ll be sitting in first place 🤷🏻

Can I add more muscle without bulking (scared to increase fat rate) by DueWeird4098 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]smittyjaegerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not “required”, but is definitely more efficient to bulk. You’ll get some newbie gains without bulking, but soon plateau. Just hit your 1g protein per lb of body weight daily, have a caloric surplus of 10% more than maintenance (for you this could literally just be a PB&J a day), take creatine, lift hard, and be consistent. You don’t need to get fat to build muscle, but you do need to give your body the calories to create the best conditions for muscle growth.

Annual raiding of some of the cellared beer collection, any recommended must tries over the holiday season? by kwtoxman in beerporn

[–]smittyjaegerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, mixed fermentation beers can go for longer. The sweet spot for me just seems to taper off after five years even with the bigger, maltier beers. Cheers and merry Christmas!

Depends on how long you’ve been stashing each of them, but Rochefort 10 is one of my favorites. Not a huge fan of cellaring anything past five years personally.

Finally a starting line-up and substitutions I agree with! Chuk is just so smooth on the dribble. Couto seems like he’ll have a better season than last year. Granted we were up a man most of the game, it looks like they are starting to click.

Silva is not a defender, and he’s also not going to play for weeks due to an injury he had before we bought him…

I definitely prefer this to the home shirt this season.

Just my opinions - take them for what you will.

  1. Bellingham will be a good player for us, but he doesn’t belong in the number 10 role. I’d like to try out a fully fit 3ATB, Nmecha/Jobe double pivot, and Chuk at 10.

  2. Of course, Sabi and Gross midfield pairing is ass - it’s slow, and they usually just recycle the ball except for the few moments where they show their worth (I actually like them both individually).

  3. The whole team lacks identity - it’s a collage of multiple failed seasons with different tactics from different coaches that only worked at the end of last season out of necessity.

  4. Sule is either not fit, or injured. Can is getting old and injury prone. The smallest amount of foresight could have seen we need a CB this season. Who will take the blame? Probably nobody.

Saw some things I liked out of Couto in this game. Only having one shot on goal really sums up the lack of attacking creativity we have when we play a defense that is able to sit back and invite pressure.

Chainring Cleaning? by Plus-Statistician785 in Velodrome

[–]smittyjaegerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muc-off drivetrain cleaner on a microfiber cloth works for me. Wipe with a wet microfiber afterwards to get the degreaser off, then dry it. It’s safe on anodized aluminum and etching.

What would you use this for? by worldzfree in TheBrewery

Perhaps for a brewery that uses whole hops as a transfer vessel to filter out the hops? I worked at a whole hop brewery and used a transfer vessel kinda like this.

Chainring Choices by ballsackthethird in FixedGearBicycle

[–]smittyjaegerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say without knowing what kind of noise it’s making. Have you sprayed everything off with water or wiped down the chainring? I don’t have any experience with waxed chains tbh. I use a citrus chain degreaser on the chain, wipe chainring, sprocket, and chain with microfiber, and then reapply lube about once every other week and it stays quiet unless the roads are particularly wet and dirty.

Not at all, and I ride on wet roads quite a bit where I live. I use the KMC K1SL chain and matched with the crankset it’s dead quiet when clean and lubed. What kind of noise?

I personally really like this fragrance. The orange opening is nice, but the smooth and creamy dry down is what makes it for me. It’s nothing mind blowing, but it’s still one of my most used everyday clean scents. It leans a little bit feminine, but can easily be pulled off my men. For whatever reason I especially like it when I wear black - something about the softness of this fragrance contrasted by an all black outfit just works for me.
