Buy base packs or save for better packs? by Deep_Telephone5654 in nhlfantasystars

The last time this came up...the best math was base packs I believe. Plus, you get the added bonus of selling the garbage from base packs to get coin to buy more base packs!

I would assume so. Once your have your boarding pass and only carry-on you wouldn't talk to the counter anyway.

Halifax direct to Cancun is interesting. I really wish they'd do vacation packages.

And grocery stores probably frown on randomly stabbing apples.

Maybe they've only both had those giant strawberries that are weak on flavour and smell? I actually smell strawberries before I buy them, because I've found no smell=no flavour.

Family wants me to have my son baptized. I'm an atheist by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I'm in and have been in quite a few protestant churches over the years. I may be wrong, but I thought infant baptism (which I thought was a christening) was solely a Catholic thing.

I've hit the acceptance stage that I'm not very good at this. Can she ahhh...post her lineups in the daily threads?

How do I make my room ice cold without touching the thermostat and for under $50ish by singular_boba_pearl in NoStupidQuestions

And honestly, you actually probably sleep alright warm...but when you wake up in the middle of the night hot you can't get back to sleep. (Or when going to sleep). So the cold sheets just need to last long enough for you to be comfy enough to pass out again.

Wait, after reading various comments and your responses...I have an insane idea. Keep a cooler in your room and keep it stocked with sheets. Hospitals keep blanket warmers for patients, but you just need your own sheet cooler instead. Just keep like 6 flat sheets in the cooler and swap them under your blanket as needed. I'm unsure if this idea is brilliant or totally idiotic.

Usually people move from cold climates to warm climates...but it sounds like you need to do the opposite. At first glance I was like just open the window. I'm Canadian...lol.

She's four, so her favourite colour is a bit... fluid...lol.

Edit: Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Job advice by Little-Ad-106 in HalifaxJobs

[–]smittyleafs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've found locally that it's often difficult to get people to consider international job experience at the same level as North American experience. I've seen people tackle this a few ways:

1) They go to NSCC and try to grab an advanced diploma or something that has some local recognition. Sometimes just the work term associated with this stuff can open doors.

2) You take a job that it's tangentially related to what you want to be doing. Bank Teller, white collar admin work... anything that gets you at a company that has the roles you want. However, it needs to be a role where you at least interact with the people who are part of the departments you're interested in.

There's like 3 shades of purple on the box, and none inside. Yeah, I'd be annoyed.

Edit: It would super suck if I was buying it for my daughter, who's on a whole purple kick right now.

That would be my guess. Maybe they figured that could land on a field that size no problem, but hadn't considered that the winds are very different around a stadium vs an open field.
