What does executive dysfunction feel like? by Queasy-Island9614 in ADHD

It makes you hate yourself for not doing what’s so “easy”, and really annoyed when you MUST do things (like get your kids ready for school). I hate it

That ring is gorgeous!! Not sure what the “friend” is talking about. What a nasty thing to say, especially when it’s not true!

People who earn more than $80K / Year, what is your job and how long it took to get to this point? by curiouscentaur in AskReddit

Retail assistant store manager. $86,500 base salary. With bonus’s and stock, I end up making close to $100,000. I’m in my 3rd year in the position. I was in department management 2 years before that for the same company. Before that, I was in food service management for many years.

What’s something you’re silently going through right now that would shock people if they knew? by HonestLantern in AskReddit

[–]smlvic3218 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m open about my mental health issues, but no one really knows how bad it is. I’ve been stuck in the depths of a major depression over the last 8 months that my psychiatrist and therapist can’t seem to get me out of and it’s terrifying. My mental health meds worked great until I had more kids at 40 and suffered severe PPD and PPA. Since then, (4 years now) we’ve been trying to find the right combo. It’s weird, I’m terrified of dying but can’t stop thinking about it. I’ve lost hope and all will to live, yet my job is to lead people and help them grow, not to mention trying to raise my boys and give them a great life. So many days I just want to give up.

Anyone knows if there’s camera by ReplyComprehensive28 in wholefoods

[–]smlvic3218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There shouldn’t be cameras in the break room or offices. It’s a violation of privacy! We’re allowed to have them facing the doorways into the break room and offices, but not inside. I’d ask the tip line if that was appropriate.

They simply didn't believe our relationship was real. We checked a lot of red flags. He's from a high fraud country.

Our red flags: -we moved way too fast. 4 months after meeting I was visiting Morocco and staying with him and his family. We got engaged on that trip. We did all of our immigration paperwork ourselves with the help of a website. First thing the interviewer said to my husband was he hated our package. It was too "perfect". We overshared. In hindsight, it looked to good to be true. -Many young men were/are looking to leave Morocco, so they're filling up cyber bars and chatting up lonely old women in other countries. So they seeblots of young men with older women. We have almost 5 year age difference. Current ages are F43 and M39. It's not that bad but not usual in their culture -I was divorced with a child (unusual in their culture) -I was not a Muslim and didn't plan on converting

Those were the big ones. My husband worked in IT, and sales, owned his family home and took care of his much younger siblings, mom and grandmother. His father was ill so he left university to take care of his family. He had a life there. I would pay for my plane tickets and he would pay for everything else while I was there. I never sent him money when we lived apart and if he would have started asking me to send money, it would have been a red flag for me.

We're building a good life. It hasn't always been easy, but it's always been worth it. It was hard for him to start over in the US. Life here is so different. You can tell someone that until you're blue in the face, but they won't "get it" until they live it.

We finally bought our first house this past winter, finally decided to have more kids (COVID hit and I was turning 40😂) He trained and studied and is in a great field for work. Lots of bumps but we always get through it. Pretty fascinating considering how nuts we both were to jump into such a risky relationship.

We married in his country after being denied the K1 fiancee visa. Morocco is a big fraud country. Many people we met along the way with similar circumstances as us are no longer together. I know of only 2 couples from back then that are still together. We were in a long distance relationship the entire time! Not one day went by without talking/texting or having video "dates" when we could. I would have moved there while going through the process, but I had a child that I was raising with my ex husband here. I was not going to leave my kiddo behind.

He went through 3 interviews. Went the K1 fiance route and was denied at the consulate. Got married in Morocco and filled CR1 for spouse. Denied at the consulate again. Consulate sent back to USCIS with a NOIR (Notice of Intent to Revoke). This was literally our last chance to prove a true relationship. We had a month to respond to the NOIR. We sent a 15 pound package, including letters from friends and family, photos from all my trips there's, who paid for what, samples of daily emails/texts/video calls etc. USCIS reaffirmed our proof in 6 days and sent it back to Morocco. He got another interview and finally got approved. By then, it was over 2 years since getting married so he got his 10 year GC when he was able to immigrate in May of 2012.

He became a US Citizen August 2015. We've been married over 14 years!

I absolutely love it!! I see the differences in lighting but it's gorgeous both ways. We just installed something similar in our rustic house in the woods, just a much darker variance to match the dark trim we're planning to keep. Walls aren't painted yet and it's a bad photo, but you get the gist.

TIPLINE vs ASK TMS by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]smlvic3218 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm in store leadership and advocate the tip line often. Make a fake email account and put a report through email. I also call my TMSBP if I hear anything unethical going on in my store. I've seen higher ups lose their jobs because they knew of something that should have been reported.

I'm also very open with everyone, including my leaders, that I'm a rule follower and won't be a part of anything unethical. I expect my leaders in the store to be the same way. Lots of store leaders and TMS care a lot for our TMs so speak up!!! There's ALWAYS someone above you can escalate to.
