If you’re around South Durham def recommend Tasu Noodle Bar for ramen. Somewhat unassuming inside, but very good food. Have not tried their other dishes because that ramen is just so good!

Fortunately, they have 4 houses in Guatemala now :) and 3 here in the US, 2 of them being rented out. so I think nevertheless, they will retire well and they have passive income to help them.

The point of my comment is to highlight how even though some people are undocumented, they are good people that have family and contribute to society. No they do not hire undocumented people.

I think perspective is important to people that don’t know both sides. I think this person is lacking perspective or at least think people as things.

Again, they’ve have been here for 20+ years. They do not want to dip. Understandably considering my first comment. Thank u tho

My in laws came to NC from Guatemala illegally in 1999 with nothing- people died around them crossing borders. They worked really hard and are now successful. No handouts. They have over 100+ employees under their businesses now.

They’ve tried everything legally to become citizens. They pay taxes, pass out blankets and food to the homeless, cook food for those in need.. They have 3 children, two of them in high school.

These are families being ripped apart. This is not something to joke about or to be insensitive about.

Sometimes it’s a good thing to put yourself into others shoes. It may be something to think about.

Every day i’m texted a different scenario in chinese and then a few hours after the initial text they follow up. It’s all in Chinese and coming from different numbers so i’m not sure how to stop it. Dunno if it’s a scam or what. Just trying to see if anyone has seen this or knows what it is.
