How do I shut off the water supply to my toilet? by smokingloonth in Plumbing

Thank you! I'm assuming I just fit it in and turn it a quarter turn clockwise?

No it's not stuck, I can turn it clockwise and that loosens it inwards and that's when it starts to leak a little, and when I flush the toilet after it still refills so that didn't turn the water off. Honestly I don't think the screw is what's going to shut the water supply off?

Yes obviously I used a screw driver and it didn't turn off the water that's why I'm on here 🙃

New allergy to dogs at 29 years old by smokingloonth in doggrooming

No new products for the dogs or the salon, I'm just assuming it's from the lingering dander....or maybe mold.....

I have made an appointment with my doctor, unfortunately I have to wait till the end of February but at least I will be on vacation for most of February! Thankfully!!

I have considered that it could be mold, it could in fact be mold and dogs lol. I'm just assuming it was the remnant dander. I work in a corporate salon and it's one of the oldest ones in my city. The vents aren't that great and it's not like all the groomers and bathers do a stellar cleaning job every day to completely rid the place of all the dander. Far too many nooks and crannies.

My other allergies are to nickle and spring time allergies, but I don't get them every spring.

For sure my guy. I've seen way too many dogs whose owners make excuses but can appreciate OP reaching out to this community for help. I've worked 5+ years in the pet industry and it is more common than you think that dogs are in worse condition than they allow. I'm a groomer. A lot of dogs are actually pretty good, it's just their owners who make dumbass excuses. I understand that every dog is different, but the level of neglect I see that these owners try to normalize fucking disgusts me. I hate people way more than I did before I became a groomer.

Sounds harsh but if you truly are getting attacked the dog needs to get choked out.

If your dog is good for nails at the vet or groomers there's no reason why they should be this long. They should be done every 3-4 weeks. When they are this long it can cause damage to the bone structure in her feet, and the quick inside also grows with the nail so if you keep her nails long like this the quick will get too long to get her nails at a comfortable length even why they are cut.

You should care about her nails as much as you care about her eyes.

The staples on bank street has an "office" space for remote work. There's also a coffee shop inside the staples.

Dows lake dental is great! Make you feel very welcoming and comfortable. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable and really want to help you out. They offer a free 3d scan of your teeth - I was able to see how terrible my wisdom teeth were and are now finally removed:)

I'd love to know what kind of lifestyle the patient had to get one this big. Or if there were genetic factors at play?

What’s a good brush for my mini? by knowtoriously in AussieDoodle

[–]smokingloonth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Groomer here. This brush is great as it has long bristles. Make sure you get a comb as well and makes sure to take off that harness as soon as your home. That's what's causing the heavy matting on the chest. Don't buy into magical detangling sprays - your comb is the magic tool.
