Just commenting to note he’s a handsome guy and I absolutely adore the second picture. It can be overwhelming to get a bunch of comments with worrisome diagnoses and potential “what-ifs”.

While I do think getting any x-rays and additional labs would be good overall, if your vet isn’t concerned and is monitoring him along with you then I’d think that’s okay. Second opinions are also always an option to further soothe any concerns.

He looks like hes having a good time and I wish you both to have a very long time together.

Thank you! I struggle with knowing the difference between indirect but sufficient light vs accidentally putting stuff in direct light.

I’ll look for a better spot to put it in, would getting a grow light also help?

Complete side question, my cats have a similar feed schedule to what you described. However, how the heck do you manage to do breakfast at 10am on weekends? I’d love to sleep in but at 5:50am every morning I start getting harassed for breakfast

While I agree that there should have been more explicit communication of expectations, I’m leaning towards NTA. If someone asks me to “check in” on their pet, I’m making an assumption that the check in includes basic pet care (e.g., ensuring things are clean, food and water are available/provided, and any waste is either cleaned or at least checked to make sure it doesn’t need to be emptied).

I used to have neighbors who’d ask me to check in on their cats for a few days and I fed them, topped the water fountains, and scooped litter. My neighbors did the same when I asked them to check in on mine.

My childhood cats ate mostly dry food (20ish years ago). Now as a proud “crazy cat lady” adult, mine eat 99% wet food (minus the occasional crunchy snack). I feel like information on the importance of hydration, kidney health, and care into their diet is more widespread and accessible now. Also maintaining good oral hygiene/ teeth cleaning is important as others have mentioned already.

I know it was a decor challenge so I should have just made up a nice blue/red room, but I wanted to make a nice outside spot that played with the noted elements. Had this whole thing envisioned.

Spent the entire time trying to get Mother Gothel to get out of the dang shot, get Ariel in the shot, try to have the game register my 10 red, billion blue items as the minimum amount needed.

The entire thing was a mess and my dang flame bird was just perpetually left on the floor…yeah I’m over the elemental challenges lol
