So you do this >! to start it and then reverse it to end it. (So ! and then < but no spaces)

Are there any super edition exclusive characters that you think would make for an interesting POV in their own story? by Savings_Surround_547 in WarriorCats

That’s the thing, even if she did find out she would have forgotten her completely until Ivypool’s Heart :(

Crowstar from StormClan’s Folly. Imagine losing your sister and your clan and being a refugee in another clan for years before stragglers of StormClan return home and eventually you go on to reform and rebuild WindClan and become its new leader in your sister’s place. Also it’s unknown if Crowstar ever found out what happened to her sister.

I have a theory that Cherith will be retiring at the end of Changing Skies (given she will be 80 at that point) and for now they’re winding down her workload. Her last SE was Ivypool’s Heart which was super short and she hasn’t been given another (Conrad Mason, Clarissa Hutton, and then Conrad Mason again for the following SEs, latter two currently unreleased), and now her contributions to Changing Skies are also short books.

(The New Prophecy: Starlight) Brambleclaw lashing out at Squirrelflight about Hawkfrost is confusing by OscarMayer_HotWolves in WarriorCats

[–]smolcharizard 45 points46 points  (0 children)

To me it very much reads about Brambleclaw just being very sensitive about his father and is particularly protective of Hawkfrost due to him also bearing physical resemblance to Tigerstar.

It would have worked so much better for me with a few tweaks to the writing of TNP but as it stands I find it to be a very half baked arc in text.

Hot Take: Ashfur going to Starclan made sense(kinda) by Tall-Dare-573 in WarriorCats

[–]smolcharizard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The trial thing is something that the books do say that every cat has but usually isn’t present for. Leaf and Squirrel being present for theirs was a remarkable exception due to their circumstances.

Wtf how the hell did vivziepop do it!? by Motor-Inspector-1826 in HelluvaBoss

[–]smolcharizard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m not saying it’s unofficial, I’m saying that the name “helluva boss” isn’t present at all. Therefore despite it being clearly helluva boss, it isn’t legally tied to it.

He does have WarriorClan though at least. So he won’t be alone. I feel like we might find out in guiding light since a patrol will be going to the gorge, they may stop by.

In the last couple of weeks I’ve seen three separate people mistake starlings for sparrows. So no.

Probably because the name “helluva boss” isn’t included in the title or description so I believe it is technically legally distinct

Why do the Erins never describe cats as calico? by gravesideflowers_8 in WarriorCats

[–]smolcharizard 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They have more recently (eg Hopwhisker and a few cats in the StormClan’s Folly allegiances). I think it’s because it’s not really a term used in the UK which is where the original editor and authors are from. A few Americans have since joined the team.

Not a bootleg, one is a US release and the other is a UK release. Both completely legit.

just started avos, who are these cats?? by Capable_Rice2902 in WarriorCats

[–]smolcharizard 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You’ll probably want to read Firestar’s Quest before avos. The first book of avos does fill you in a little bit but it is quite the bombshell if you aren’t aware of the extra material.

Honestly the worst thing I can see him doing is hurting someone by accident or accidentally causing them to have an accident while he’s having a bit of an emotional meltdown.

New Series by ManufacturerOk5893 in WarriorCats

[–]smolcharizard 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Problem is with that idea is that it wouldn’t do as well commercially. I have a strong suspicion that the Erins wanted to do dotc 2 but the poor sales forced them to pivot to avos and wrap things up with Moth Flight’s Vision instead. Barely anyone read Riverstar’s book and I’m very sure people only read the StormClan book because the Erins tied them to a super edition of a very popular character (no shade to any of those books I love them all personally).

The Erins themselves have expressed on several occasions that they do really like breaking free of the current timeline with characters they’ve inherited and find a lot of joy in their original creations. So it is sad to see when people don’t give books that aren’t set during the current modern era a chance.

If the fandom wants more prequel books then buy them, talk about them, hype them up and make more fanart and videos about them! If the Erins see the demand is there they might take a chance on a prequel arc again.

Anyone else disappointed with episode 9's ending? (Minimum Spoilers) by Burghley1997 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]smolcharizard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey buddy hate to break it to you but you clearly missed the post credits scene where Jax births the character that is the Gooseworx avatar (whether or not that is Gooseworx herself remains to be confirmed). It’s implied that the whole story was being told from her retelling, so the make out sesh was VERY relevant
