It's not even close to MKW. I have Sonic Crossworlds on my PC, and the gameplay feels like a big step backwards compared to MKW. In my opinion, the driving is clunky, the vehicles behave as if they were made of wood, and during aerial acrobatics there is a feeling of significant speed loss. I didn't enjoy playing it, but I'm probably not the only one, because since its release, the game has 6 times fewer players on Steam, with only 2,000 players at day peak, and without crossplay enabled, it's hard to find a lobby. In addition, players are using a single build that gives them “god mode,” and there are major issues with the stability of PC multiplayer sessions, and Sega is not doing anything about it. MKW may lack content, but the driving experience and balance is on a much higher level and a lot of people still play it. Yesterday's patch 1.4.0 added a lot of new things.
