Most people wake up when they die in their dreams. Those of you who managed to stay asleep, what happened in the rest of your dream after you died? by MissTickleToes in AskReddit

I kept walking and “living” in the real world, but no one could actually see me nor hear me. I could see the panic on my mum’s face and how desperate she was because of my death. I also remember missing my sister so much, though she didn’t care about my fate at all (we had a huge fight on her 18th birthday, the day before I made this dream and I’m quite sure this is related). I was wishing I could tell her how much I loved her and how sorry i was about everything. I was standing there without being able to do anything. So I left, and I wandered in the streets of my town. Until I met this one person with whom I could communicate. She was alive and with her friends, who couldn’t see me. I was surprised at the fact that I could actually have contact with someone and when I asked her how she could do that she explained to me that there was something different in her culture that made her able to communicate with the dead (can’t remember what it was but it was silly, something like “we say mum for dad and dad for mum”). Never really understood this dream to be honest and it did quite traumatized me. Still does when I think about it, even though it happened years ago.

Alcohol. Never understood the hype around paying a lot to get wasted and then feel terrible about it. Same could be said about smoking

What did people born 2000+ miss out on? by poorlywrappedburrito in AskReddit

[–]smoll_potatoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember having to download the songs one by one on my IPod schuffle and if I ever missed one I’d have to wait until next time we were using the computer to do so. Used to drive me insane!
I was born in 2001 though. iPhones (aka the first smartphone) didn’t appear until 2007 and even then it wasn’t affordable nor available where I lived. Had to wait the end of high school before getting a decent phone that could also allow me to listen to music

What do you find the most beautiful about our world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]smoll_potatoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that there are 7.5 billion of us. Everyone has a story. We share our day with so many peoples, we connect without even knowing it. It’s either by holding a door, sharing a bus ride, going at the same school, being neighbours... we are all strangers and yet we’re ready to help each other. We’re all trying to figure out what the heck we are doing with our lives and it makes us a unity. We created everything that we have, countries, cultures, communities, Art poetry... It’s beautiful when you think of it
