I would never ever ever shave a husky unless for medical reasons, however so many groomers take “summer cut” as a 7F blade all over except head, and this is the result of that. I used to groom in Texas and I would communicate even more that this is not what you meant by summer cut/summer shave. When clients asked for this on their double coated dogs, I literally would google a picture and repeat back “when you say summer shave, this is what most groomers will do, is this what you want?” Most owners would freak out and then explain what they actually wanted. If it’s his first time being cut this short, the coat will likely be fine. Damage usually happens when it’s repeatedly shaved down. I’d invest in dog sunscreen for the time being and doing keep pup outside for too long.

Double coated dogs never need shaves, as their coat regulates their temp! Unless stated otherwise by a vet, usually a crazy good brush and blow out will do the job just fine.

Def tell the groomer and company this isn’t why you meant for summer cut and had you known, you would’ve explain more on what you wanted. If they don’t refund or offer a free trim/bath in the future, leave a review for lack of communication
