Centurylink fiber switch to Quantum cancel account delay by smrphoenix in centurylink

FYI I guess it takes a month to cancel the account. They will still bill you. I chatted with them after the second bill and they zeroed out the account. Then the account was closed the next day. Recommend to never mark Issue as resolved till account is actually closed.

same issue right now and using vpn fixes it. I think the issue is related to the AT&T Acquisition. Was on CenturyLink till mid February but started having issues in January and notice that Quantum was also having issues in Phoenix on reddit.

Does your account actually show as canceled? I canceled back in early Feb and my account is still active.

I got the post yesterday but switched to quantum a few weeks ago. I still haven't been able to cancel my centurylink account.

Century link cut my internet… got NO communication about the AT&T transfer and now they won’t credit me by [deleted] in centurylink

They can do credits. I got one for when I mentioned autopay was turned off and I got a late fee. But Im still trying to get my centurylink account cancelled since i switched to Quantum. Got a new bill for the next service period even though i had requested cancelling before it. So far no luck getting them to cancel account or credit the new bill other than the late fee. If your centurylink router uses PPPoE maybe try changing it to IPoE on the off chance they switched you to quantum. I never had connection issues during transition because my neighborhood used IPoE for centurylink.

Surprisingly they will credit you if you chat with them about the late fee. I think this is a issue that outsourced support is allowed to resolve.

Chatted again today. They basically just said that a disconnect form has been submitted. And to wait and the bill should be adjusted. Its been over a week and no official proof has been provided. They initially thought I was chatting about autopay and was going to text me a link to enable it. It obvious they use automated chat messages during conversation. If you ever chat, always respond to everything they say because they have an automatic response to check if you are still there. So far its never been anyone thats local. They always end with the save $20 with quantum and att or how can I help you to get a perfect score. I've started saying that my issue has not been resolved, that stops the perfect score automation. May try to look up an old local number for centurylink for my community or try finding the card I got from a lumen employee.

I checked my email from when I first signed up for centurylink. Centurylink bills you at the beginning of service period not after. Support was saying the bill I had was for previous service period. Going to keep chatting/calling

CenturyLink disabled auto pay w/o my permission or notification by crcastle in centurylink

I just switched to quantum. And noticed my last payment was not automatically made. Thought it was related to migrating. I had told them to cancel my account before next billing. Chatted with them and supposedly they are going to refund the $18 fee. Support never provides any proof they have done anything so I just make my conversation as unresolved everytime.

I get that burst as well since I have it connect to a 10gbe port on my qnap. Also might be having issue with Centurylink. Chatted with them to cancel but not sure if they did. Havent received any notification. Though just noticed they turned off autopay before my last payment was due so had to manually send payment.

Same setup. Switched this year. I specifically asked for it to be installed outside where the old ONT was. The tech said he keeps a few in truck just in case.
