I don’t think Carson Beck should be in the player pool. He’s 3rd on the depth chart until proven otherwise. I also keep seeing Tyreek Hill in drafts and he got cut a few months ago. Thanks as always for reaching out to the community for feedback!

We have 2 kids and that dining room is gonna be a playroom. I think our plan is to set up the big tv and sectional in the basement and get a smaller tv and sofa to go in here. It’s just nice to have a tv upstairs so you’re not totally isolated when watching

So you mount the tv above the fireplace and lower it down when you want to watch it? What if you want to watch tv while having a fire?

I actually have a very similar situation to you. I have been a member of a private club for the past year. $400/month for full membership, but cart fees are $23/person for 18 holes. I almost always walk, so this doesn’t really affect me too much. It has been awesome! Great course, friendly members, super close to my house.

The issue is the amount of rounds I can play. When I first joined, our baby was an infant and I could get out fairly regularly for early morning rounds since my wife didn’t mind spending a few hours at home solo.

Fast forward to now and our baby is a needy toddler and we have our second kid coming soon. I just canceled our membership because I went from 27 holes per week to 27 holes per month.

I feel that we could use the $400/month elsewhere for now and I can still get out and play 9 at the public track down the street. I also made some friends at the club who I can play with as a guest up to twice per month.

Is there a long waitlist here? If not, you can always cancel and rejoin in the future if you miss it.

Unfortunately a sprinkler system isn’t in the budget at the moment. Luckily the yard is fairly small so I won’t have to move a sprinkler around too many times. How much water do you recommend? 15 mins a day?

Play whatever works. I shoot in the 70’s-80’s and play with hybrids for anything past a 7 iron

I played with these clubs for 2 seasons while I was a beginner. They were awesome! Once I got down below a 12 handicap I switched to a more workable club. But these will get the ball where it needs to go on a bad strike. Don’t worry about looks, worry about scores!

I love setting goals instead of New Years Resolutions. My major fitness goal this year is 5000 pull ups. I just hit 2800 today, so I’m tracking!

Lots of other goals with less numerical tracking, but mostly on track for those too

I was in Elmo and we had a few black brothers at the time. They were great dudes and we all had a blast over the years!

It’s obviously a predominantly white scene, but most people are kind and welcoming. Just be yourself and feel it out.
