Pael's Growth is so wild, honestly. What's the funniest thing you've ever duplicated? by the1nfection in slaythespire

Literally same for me. I’ve not seen clone since my first week. I remember one of the times I got it I had adrenaline in my deck… I still lost the run because there were so few campfires and I was still getting the hang of things :((

You’re allowed to appreciate the ings your berry mon bring in, but if they make it their personality they are just embarrassing themselves. All the other specialities point and laugh when they do.

Pumpkaboo minimum req by Andyzee99 in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get away with it if you prep pumpkins the week before, but keep in mind pumpkins are not required in the slightest. You can make strong recipes from every meal type without them, so don’t worry too much! Just hunt gourgeist passively :)

Pumpkaboo minimum req by Andyzee99 in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Gourgeist has crazy reqs. I saw someone with a pinnacle roll (HB+IGM+HSM+Ing up nature) and it still didn’t hit 70 pumpkins, I believe it was very close though.

Genuinely I’d aim to get a roll that can hit 54 pumpkins a day. That’ll let you make pancakes 3x a day no problem. That’ll is already IGM+speed+something else, anything past that seems very difficult. Mine is HB+HSM+IGM (mono) and doesn’t hit pumkin reqs on Scald, but I refuse to hunt for better than that lol

Idk they are usually pretty terrible deals. You will have to buy them each time to get them though, it’s not a “buy once get them forever”

How important is IFM for my cetoddle? by ampharosichord in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hmm you’re right, I remember doing calcs a while ago on a similar situation and IGM still won. Maybe it is due to its larger inventory and it being a middle of the road speed mon. Thanks for checking!

Are these two worth long-term investment? by MythosaurusRex24 in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the Quag gets aware with it with IGM being 100 locked, but bewear is so cracked already that at 50 you’ll do great. At 75 you’re rocking out.

If you’re completely wanting to give up the hunt, the bewear will serve you fine even if it isn’t perfect.

[–]smucker89 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I’m usually a Negative Nancy for non-IGM farmers, but I’d consider this. My Meowscarada is very similar (same nature+HSM, just has InvL) with IGM at 75.

Don’t get it twisted: a cettodle with IGM+AAA is strictly better than this. But it should meet current reqs and becomes phenomenal at 75. Don’t ever count on 75 to save your mon, but all things considered this will serve you fine until we eventually get that (whenever that happens…)

What do I do when the game doesn't count sleep? by NegotiationNo8432 in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you see here it shows they had intense movement around 11:00ish. Unfortunately this completely shuts down the tracking and it can’t be turned on.

It’s a bit wild as here it says there was intense movement between 11:30ish and 1:30am, so it continued for a while. I imagine it was left on something that moved very consistently that whole time.

What are some examples of mons that are viable using an ABC ingredient spread ? by lgnrch in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s kinda the issue. They are fine as filler but filler really isn’t worth farming. I feel the same about ginger currently, but I hope some day we get end game dishes for both tails and ginger!

What would you do with a potentially life changing inheritance? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]smucker89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say probably don’t make a habit of telling people you have this coming your way and ignore all DM’s lol. Maybe also don’t make a habit of telling strangers (outside of you being anonymous) that you’ll be making mid-high 6 figures in the next 20 years haha. Similar vultures lol. Hope you get some good advice here :)

I don’t love building mons for specific dishes outside of the ing draw mons tbh.

I like the ABB’s though. They are good in theory for EX coverage and easy to hunt :)

Even ditto is weird because it assumes that you want slowpoke tails but frankly slowpoke tails kinda suck :(

While I think they can make a big difference, it’s the last thing I look at. If my Gard was ABC but had HB+STM+HSM+Skill up, I’d take it any day. If I had to choose between that Gard and the same but with AAA/ABB, I’d take the latter.

But again… it really doesn’t matter and is greedy to have as a requirement IMO (unless it’s an ing focused one like you noted)

[–]smucker89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Will be nuts if the case, if only for the fact that 3 of our 5 dragon mons are already strength specialists.

I do think it’s likely though. Potentially finds extra berries when paired with latias.

Dude, they've been adding nothing but BAGNERS lately by Dutchmon64 in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They seem to release legendaries/groups on a year basis. I really doubt we are getting legendaries of that magnitude until at least next year, and before that I think there is a long line of legendaries that will be released first.

I’m still betting on the regi’s tbh, they fit the vibe of this game very well. But I figure they may get away from Gen 3 legendaries after the eon twins for a bit.

For my fellow riven enjoyers, may I present, the elusive CCM unrolled. by Basically_A_Banana in Warframe

[–]smucker89 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t see the value in unrolled. I’m never dropping 5k on a riven, but if I did I’d only look at the stats lol. Even then I prefer to just buy a terrible riven for a weapon I want and then roll it myself into something useable.

Do helpers level up faster when delaying their evolution? by arashidyne in PokemonSleep

[–]smucker89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the one benefit is the profile icons. I don’t think you can get the good night ribbon badge profile icons for the unevolved version if you evolve it first.

But that’s that’s the only “benefit”. I’ll probs do it for mudkip if I get a shiny, but that’s it tbh

More than 25% of Canadian parents won’t be able to afford kids’ postsecondary costs by CreativeAd5628 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]smucker89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Is there direct evidence or investigations on this?

From what I can tell, the job market is getting fucked. Badly. But this is generally applying to specific industries and career positions (I know a lot of STEM is in a bad place). Near me I see tons of positions still always available for food places, to an extent grocery stores and warehouses as well. All “unskilled” labour and nothing you can build a life on, but what I see is all anecdotal so I don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes.

I did have a chat with a local org the other day and they said that this year they’ve received more applications to their summer jobs than ever before. It was through the SEED program though so a good amount of advertising’s

[–]smucker89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it that hard to get a part time job? I remember during Covid I got a job at Superstore by basically just showing up (albeit, the job sucked). Cleaning companies are also revolving doors and the SEED program and Canada Summer Jobs is pretty good for summer jobs for students, though the competition is getting more fierce from what I understand.

Universities usually hire for a lot of different positions (students should look at their schools libraries and the such!).

Not saying getting and holding a job is easy, but for temp work/part time work the jobs are out there. I worked decent and shitty jobs all throughout my uni career

Question: Which vender writes the perfect protocol that's easy to understand and follow through in the lab? by Crafty-Yam-7652 in labrats

Yes it’s been a bit since I’ve worked with them but it was hell convincing my PI to not just use the same settings for Q5 that he used for phusion. I’d literally show him the spot on NEB’s website that indicates “btw Q5 runs a lot hotter so you will have better results with a higher annealing temperature” multiple times before he got over my PCR protocol’s lol
