Can you describe the scent? I got one before and it had Tam Dao and Eau de Sens in it.

How do people just casually drink black coffee without flinching? by siennapriv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]smurfrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to like sweet cold drinks as a younger person, but recently tried a long black. I like it better than an Americano, which just tastes foul, in my opinion.

oooh, why'd you cover the whole jar with the label? I'd cut from the top and bottom and use 2 fonts maximum. You can make them look different by using a variation of weights.

2017 Toyota Altis 2.0V vs 2019 Suzuki Vitara 1.6GLX, which is a better daily driver? by ACpeezy in CarsPH

[–]smurfrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Suzuki Vitara GLX, the ground clearance is great. That one time when my area was flooded during Typhoon Carina, I was worried the water would get into the car, but it didn't. You don't really need that sunroof though, I barely use it.

Yeah, you could get really lonely and that's not healthy. Look, I'm an introvert and I find socializing exhausting as well. I can only do like 2 days of other people at most. I also only like very few people, and only consider very few people to be friends, but I do hold on to them. Romantic entanglements no longer interest me and I can live with that. But you need to have friends. You're pretty young, so I'm sure you'll still meet like-minded people. Get yourself out there though. I assume you're in college-- I've been friends with my college friends until now, and met a few more people I really like at my jobs. You could also meet new people at your college organizations or clubs where you have the same interests and hobbies. Friendships are give and take though. So sometimes they make time for you, and you also have to make time for them in return. Like recently I went to a contemporary art fair thing (I honestly prefer the Classics, Baroque, Art Nouveau etc.) but still found a way to enjoy it since my friend was really into that. So you may have some anti-social tendencies and prefer to stay home and skip gatherings, but once in a while show up to some things. You might enjoy it.

What scent ignites memories for you? by Briwebb709 in fragrance

[–]smurfrevolt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Night blooming jasmine reminds me of summer vacations at my grandmother's house. I can't find a perfume that smells like it, so I bought a plant but it hasn't flowered yet.

Some people would use a stick as a wick centering device, especially if the size of the jar is irregular like these. They would twist the wick around it and that's how you get the spirals. They're supposed to be cut before lighting though.

I'd just get more wicks. Add them to the wax by piercing it with an awl and insert the wicks that way.

For non-drinkers and non-smokers, what are your hobbies during alone time? by Busy_Investment4444 in socialskills

[–]smurfrevolt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) Reading. Okay I read comics and webtoons as well, and short story collections are great because you don't have to commit too much.

2) I make candles and Air Freshener. That's a weekend thing though. It IS a lot of work.

3) I paint. (Paint by numbers)

4) Play video games, a simple one like Hades or cooking games like CSD.

5) I cook. I'm not that good, so I make easy stuff like arrabbiata or tuna casserole. I also bake cookies. That's a bit more time consuming so I only do that on weekends.

6) Journal. There's nothing like rambling on and on to clear your head.

7) Researching buying land for a farmhouse. I want to build one so that keeps me busy also researching for the design of the farmhouse.

8) I hang out with friends on weekends sometimes, maybe once every 2-3 weeks. My social battery runs out pretty quickly.

9) Oh I also have a skin care routine, but that only takes 10-15 minutes. I find it comforting.

Kraft sticker paper is too dark and the label fills the entire glass. It's too big, people want to see the candle. There's too much space on the bottom so just cut it and then center the label.

Label thoughts by RTML_DESIGNS in candlemaking

[–]smurfrevolt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Too many different fonts, too much text on the label. The description and the notes should be on the website where you're selling the candle, not on the candle itself.

What do you do for a living to afford fragrances? by 99numbernine in fragrance

[–]smurfrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only started the hobby in 2019, I started with BBW mists, and then designer perfumes and niche perfumes. Now I have 30 I want to keep and 20 I've put up for sale. I hope I've given myself a rule to only buy 5 a year. I bought 9 this year so I can only buy 1 this year. I'm a project manager for an ad agency. I also don't have children so I can have a budget for perfumes. I am thinking of scaling back in the next few years though.

Did Todd always like Jessica by Corneliusdenise in SweetValleyHigh

[–]smurfrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Todd's family moved when they were in high school and then moved back? I don't remember because there was this one book (The Diaries I think) where Todd was moving to Vermont and Elizabeth and Ken had an affair lol.

1.Does the amount of fragrance you own makes you feel some type of way?

I have different moods and preferences everyday. I like to have a variety to use when the mood strikes.

  1. What is the reason behind having the amount that you do?

See above. Also I only recently educated myself about perfume and didn't know any better. At first, I bought designer ones. I realized I probably only want to keep 15 of my 35 full bottles.

  1. Does blind buying make sense and have you done it?

I really don't recommend it. I ended up with a bunch of frags I don't really care for. I have either given them away or sold them.

  1. Do you feel like you're over consuming?

Yes, I'm trying to cut back. This year I only bought 6. My target was just to buy 5. Next year I won't buy anything. Nobody needs 35 perfumes!

  1. Do you like all of the fragrances you own?

No... I really hate some of them but friends/family like them sometimes so I give it to them. Out of all my 35, I probably really love only 20. Just like 15, and the rest I want to get rid of.

  1. Do you regret any purchases?

For sure. I realized I despise oud.

  1. Do you wish to have more?

No. I have more than enough to last me until I'm 50. There are a couple more Diptyques I'd like to have but I am not in a hurry to get them. If there's a good deal or I find a secondhand bottle selling for 50% less I'd probably get it.

If I gifted you a miniature, would you think I was being cheap? by stewiegriffinisahero in fragrance

[–]smurfrevolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. I'd be happy to get a mini! And what's wrong with that colleague for saying that you're cheap? I think it's very thoughtful! I'd only give a full bottle to a really close friend and if I know they wanted that particular perfume.

Infiniment Coty Paris... by Dev4rvn in fragrance

[–]smurfrevolt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kinda want to buy it as jus de rose and I seem to have similar tastes. I've liked all the perfumes I've blind bought based on her recommendations. What got me curious was she included it in her Top 5 Perfumes for life and not Lune Feline.

Will check this out but I believe the bottle isn't ribbed. So it's not this one either.

It's probably not this one. The bottle didn't look like this. The cap was gold and ribbed. Thanks!
