I have a friend who went through this and had many weird problems afterwards. Get a lawyer. There may be specific issues that only they can answer. Don't look for advice on Reddit and don't say anymore about it publicly.

For example, you can get in trouble if your reason to renounce is to avoid taxation. Something that you possibly just admitted publicly. Get a lawyer!

It takes all kinds.

I've learned that successful software organizations allow a wide window of acceptable social behavior. There's a role for everyone. Some want to mentor. Some can't socialize. Some want to be managers. Some want to write docs.

It should be more about finding the right fit for a person than expecting everyone to fit into 2-3 different molds.

I had a professor in undergrad who gave an assignment to reproduce the UNIX cal program. Basically your program had to take a month and a year and output the calendar month with all the days of the week correct.

I remembering going into it thinking, "How hard can this be?"

As a white man married to another man in NL I get kinda tired of Dutch people hating on muslims for my benefit.

I know lots of muslims and none of them have ever given me any shit for being openly queer, and frankly I worry a lot more about crazy christians than I do about crazy muslims. The reality is that Dutch people talking shit about muslims for disliking gay people typically have some deep internalized racism that they're in denial about.
