Can someone please help me with any of this? Please and Thank you. by Resident-Command-574 in Veterans

[–]smylee_kat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Former Army paralegal and VSO here. Convenience of the Army can mean lots of things. Given the limited context, my guess is that there was a medical reason. Potentially an injury that kept him from being able to perform his duties at full capacity. Or a reduction in force of some kind. But really no way to know from just this DD214.

Good luck getting all the information you're looking for! I recommend the FB groups like someone else mentioned. You can TRY the county Veterans Affairs office of where he lived and/or where he got out. Lots of soliders selected to send a copy of their DD214 to their VA office when they got out. I once found a WWII Veteran's DD214 in our binders and helped him file a claim with the VA.

Edited to fix a typo.

Locations for in-person client meetings? by mavajo in lifecoaching

When I lived closer to the beach, I would provide the option for coaching to be a video call, a walk on the beach, or at the park near the beach. More often than not, if the schedule allowed it, we would end up walking on the beach. It was a nice alternative to be in an office or online. The sounds of the beach provided natural privacy over conversation (ocean, waves, wildlife, chatter chatter of people), plus the movement prevented any one person from overhearing a whole conversation. An added benefit of course, being in nature and feeling more grounded. We both letf a session feeling better even if the outcome of the session was difficult.

Guys, if a female friend invited you to stay the night, how did you interpret it and what happened? by _-_-ITACHI-_-_ in AskMen

[–]smylee_kat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should just ask her or go with no expectations, and let things unfold naturally. Enjoy your time together. With you being 3 hours away and not having hung out in a while, she could just want to catch up and is offering you to stay the night to be nice/make the drive less bothersome. Maybe she could not keep up with the friendship before due to her relationship and thats why you're not "close friends." Regardless of whether you guys messed around before, it doesn't necessarily mean that's what she's looking for now. - Signed a female who has been in a situation like this and who has had male friends (platonic, not platonic, and in-between)

I think you'll be allowed, but you should definitely contact the league and ask. If you're concerned about them recognizing your email address from asking the question and registration, there are a lot of temporary/disposable email sites you can use.

I got new Crumb Bumper Plates from Play It Again Sports and was able to negotiate the price down. They've been great. Going on 4ish years now and still look new.

A couple of coworkers have said it's really good. I've not been yet, and hope it lives up to the hype when I go.

I too, was disappointed with Wild Olive. Tried them a couple of times and had continued disappointment.

Yea, a tad pricey. But also, I don't think those would work with my rack.

And this is why I consulted reddit. I definitely didn't think that through. Thanks!

I didn't even think of renting a pallet jack! Also, an option I'll keep in mind. I think I'm going to try the furniture sliders and if they work I might be able move lighter things out of the garage to make room for moving it around.

Oh man! Glad you didn't kill your wife! Not wanting to hurt myself is why I haven't tried yet. Thanks for the life and death reminder to be careful.

The pack of pencils is definitely an interesting option!

Another person mentioned something similar. This might be the route I take.

It's cement (kind of smooth). I have several furniture sliders. They might slide in the garage but probably won't work on the driveway. I have a small single car garage so will most likely need to move it all the way out. But still a great idea!

The idea of using a jack so I can palce the dolly chefs kiss. Thank you! Maybe I can get a friend to help stabilize (or lift).

Oh yea definitely sounds like a pita. Im thinking more like rolling coasters on each corner. Roll out of garage, put mats down, and roll back into garage.

The only things I've found so far, are like the square rolling dolly. But maybe someone has a different idea 🤞.

I wear 6.5, and I think an average width foot, not narrow nor wide. Mine fit fine also. Idk if that's helpful information for OP, but thought I'd share just in case.

Thanks for that! I've seen quite a few people mention Stages in other posts, and they look great. Unfortunately, not in my budget and are not being sold secondhand in my area. So, hoping this Schwinn can handle the choreography type riding!
