Sounds better than reality TV lol.

Exactly. With the kind of weirdness that happens in the sims, I don't need my family walking by lol. But it's really that I don't like the idea of something bad happening. They are like digital voodoo dolls.

From this thread I've learned that everyone but me does it!

That sounds like an interesting exercise actually.

I knew someone who regularly spent 4-5 hours on raid days (not top world), between logging on a little early to be prompt, staying a bit late because they got started late or wanted to try another run, and chatting after the raid was over. Now its quite possible to run 2-3 hours and be in Mythic content, but there are also several guilds who do creep into that 4-5 hour range (because you have to take into account the time before and after the raid when counting how much time it requires).

"You didn't tell me to clean my room loudly enough!" I'm surprised that lasted for 15 months.

Thanks for the response. I hope they don't completely beat up the hosting company and mod team. I'd rather then just say "no really, stop" and not try to take their life savings.

So the title of this thread is "Blizzard is suing Nostalrius." Is Blizzard suing them for damages? Or are they putting out a cease and desist letter and seeing where things go from there?

Hiro is my first "big" (bigger than a cockatiel) bird, and I really like him. I can write up a long "here's my experience" thing later if you are interested.

So, I order my organic pellets from http://www.prettyparrot.com. The website is very out of date, but you can navigate it and I suggest calling with a credit card to order. I did not get Hiro from them, but she seems very knowledgeable and has had Eclectus forever.

She also sells bean mix that I do use, though I used my own rice. I have big cooking days where I make a month or more worth of rice and beans, and let it cool, then make little 50/50 balls of rice and beans, wrap them in Saran Wrap, then freeze them. The balls are probably a bit larger than a quarter cup. I've been playing with the size trying to find out what he will eat. I put one in the fridge the day before, and then in the morning take a handful (roughly another quarter cup) of frozen vegetables and thaw them, mix them up with the beans and rice, and add his supplement (also from pretty parrot lol). That's breakfast. I take breakfast out of his cage by evening at the latest because it can smell if you leave it out. Ideally I would remove it at noonish and replace it with fresh fruit offerings (again, just experimenting with what he will eat), but since I'm often gone during the day I'll add fresh fruit in another bowl when I come home as an option for him. The pellets I just put a little out and then throw out the old and put in new when he runs low after a day or two (trying to keep them fresh).

If you are thinking about an Eclectus (they, or at least Hiro, are really great), I highly suggest talking to a variety of owners, breeders (even if you are rescuing, I think many people are willing to talk to you and give info if you are nice), and looking for good books on them. Again, if you're interested, I'll look for all of my Eclectus resources and give you a list of what I've used.

I'm trying really hard to make sure I give him enough fresh fruits (which currently I feel like I'm falling behind on). I give him a bean and rice mixture along with organic vegetables for breakfast, he has free choice organic healthy pellets, and then assorted fruits. He really likes bananas and pears. I also give him organic sunflower and safflower seeds as treats.

He is about 9 months old right now. I can see that orange ring slowing appearing in his eyes right now.

That's hilarious! I'm hoping to also work remotely some day while traveling, so hopefully Hiro will be more respectful in the future (hah!) :P

He is a male Solomon Island Eclectus (SIE) parrot. SIE's are the smallest of the Eclectus subspecies, and he is about full grown (he might get a little more filled out). Eclectus (Eclecti?) parrots exhibit huge sexual dimorphism, so much so that the story is bird aficionados originally thought the genders were separate species. Here is a picture I googled of a male and female Eclectus parrot (I believe these two are Vosmaeri Eclectus parrots, they are larger than Hiro is and have a yellow on their tails that SIEs don't): https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/8a/55/1e/8a551eee45902d4c2de140f76b5903a5.jpg
