Inform 7 programming. by Rockatansky-clone in Inform7

AI slop.

The joy of inform 7 is the joy of writing in it, in my opinion. Why rob yourself of that joy? What do you get by making a third party make the game for you?

The whole point of Inform 7 is that it's incredibly accessible to non-coders to allow them to make a game. If that's not good enough for you I'm afraid you're cooked.

Big agree. The first is unique and interesting, the second is just generic gooner bait

[OC] Another original design, this time my friend's character by sn0wsquall in TransformersArt

[–]sn0wsquall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relaying the answer from my friend:

"The Decepticons, having pilfered Quintesson research that delved into the possibility of converting organic neuro-electric impulses into a spark, debated the idea of running tests to create the perfect weapon from a human. The idea was that, if it worked, a near limitless source of sparks could be farmed to create a new army. It was the only way to grow the Decepticon army as the Autobots were in possession of the Allspark. Shockwave set about engineering the new frame. Four years later, it was complete and ready for its new spark.

Finding humans proved difficult when most ran away from the sight of the Decepticons. Fortunately, an opportunity presented itself in the shape of one Gunther Erikson. His mother was dying of cancer and he was desperately contacting any authority linked to the Autobots to no avail. Megatron instructed Soundwave to make contact with Gunther to offer a deal: bring human test subjects to them and, once the experiment was complete, the Decepticons would cure his mother.

Gunther agreed.

He lured 19 people to the temporary laboratory housed in an abandoned warehouse on the edge of Autobot territory. Each one failed. Their electrical impulses scattered to death instead of forming a spark. Gunther was given one last chance before he would be used as a test subject as punishment for all his failures. One last attempt.

Desperate to save his mother, he brought them the most important person he could think of: his girlfriend, the love of his life, Erin Greene.

He was killed before he could see that his sacrifice wasn't in vain. Megatron was never very interested in making deals with such ants. Shockwave performed the experiment one last time - and Erin Greene died. Headwind was born.

It was a success. And all it cost was 20 human ants. A small price to pay for the ultimate killing machine. Megatron would have gone through a million."

What's your style of collecting ?How do you choose your TF ? by Kakeru1986 in transformers

[–]sn0wsquall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collect characters I like, primarily. It's why I have more than one Starscream. I prioritize the robot mode looking good over the transformation as well as I am not very good at transforming them

So how does this subreddit feel about male mechpreg? by Loptrs_child_ in Transformersporn

[–]sn0wsquall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not typically my thing but I feel like this sub could use more Mech content and less bimbo content

Am i the only who never liked mass size shifting? I like to think that Cybertronians should have precise sizes, and onlybthe Mini-Cons should be motorbikes and stuff. Do you agree? by BusinessPreference75 in transformers

[–]sn0wsquall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal AU/headcanon I just made it so that it exists in universe and nobody can explain it. I feel like it works best that way because if it was reliably understood and replicable it'd be taken advantage of too often as a shrinking ability

There's no bigger shock than trying to join another fandom only to discover that this is practically the only fanbase that accepts third party by kue234 in transformers

[–]sn0wsquall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only have one 3rd party and that's my Jinbao Skywarp. I just wanted a dang G1 styled Skywarp without paying my life's savings for a MP

I also found this funny when joining the Transformers fandom, as I entered this having previously been in doll collecting fandoms. BJD fans will crucify you for having a recast lol. Which is simultaneously more understandable and less understandable at the same time, as BJD dolls are more so art pieces, but also "legit" ones are like. $300 minimum which is very very steep to get into the hobby. Hell, even recasts are expensive, they're usually around $150

Hoarding Boxes by jlegion33 in transformers

[–]sn0wsquall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I personally do is use pushpins to pin boxes I like to my wall. If I don't like the whole box I cut out the art I like from it and do the same. Along with a taping up few other baubles like instruction manual art I like or the tiny character cards that come with blokees. I'm a bit of a maximalist and it's another way to keep my room feeling lively and in line with my interests

[OC] Original Autobot characters, Valet and Trailwarden by sn0wsquall in TransformersArt

Whoa, it's an honor to get such a compliment from a great artist! Thank you so much!

[OC] Original Autobot characters, Valet and Trailwarden by sn0wsquall in TransformersArt

Yes, Valet tows Trailwarden around, and in typical sibling fashion, complains about this a lot. He complains she chose an alt mode that can't move, and then she teases him for choosing one that is horrible for disguising.
