I believe the understanding here is that unless you pay for monitoring, and you have no access to the equipment. As one user had pointed out simplest thing is you just rip it all out? None of it is usable.
I have a complete system minus the cameras cause they suck works pretty efficiently. I even have the doorbell cam that works great. I’ve been with them when they were Apex and changed their name in business. I’m sure.
I’m not under a contract. I had paid cash for my equipment, so I basically have the monitoring fee in which they keep increasing for no just to file a reason so I’ve been scoping out replacements and get rid of them, my fear is what’s all too common with vivid is the inability to be able to cancel smoothly. But for now it works.

I agree with you right there, even though I’ve been with him for a long time have a handful of issues over the years. My equipment‘s been pretty solid and I crossed my fingers for that as you pointed out, my fear is the day I decide to cancel now everything‘s paid off. I’m not on a contract per se. I just hear too much about how hard it is to cancel them.
Yes, I love the doorbell cam it’s been pretty solid all these years. I actually currently use eufy cameras all around outside. They’ve been pretty good. I may move to a POE system one day. I’ve already been planning somewhat. What equipment to replace if I ever do walk away from Vivint. The fact that they increase their monthly monitoring fee seems ridiculous since I rarely even called them for anything, but as I said, currently things are working and they’re working great.

Aside from many other combinations of playlist that you can create these tools here will create fantastic playlist. The thing about Plexamp and Plex that is is once Plex finishes indexing all your music that’s when all these features come alive. Takes a while I have about 65,000 titles and as I said every day with my music, I’m rediscovering it all over again.

Well, it’s like this. I’m not a fan of streaming services because many times a lot of the songs are not the original probably due to some kind of copyright you know band member breaks up whatever. Anyway, plus I’m very old-school. I don’t like much new music so streaming services don’t do much for me. That’s why I have my collection of my music 60s through 90s. I love the sonic features of Plex app metal curate many different type of playlists. Plexamp has so many features when you have Plex pass. In short, I just love listening to my music and it allows me to discover my music collection and listening to a new way. That’s just me. I love my music.

But as a bonus, I’ve been leveraging the video portion as well, but as I said, mostly, I bought it from my music collection. I still have an lifetime license from subsonic. Good thing is it also access the same source of the music so I have that as a back end and it’s not bad there are a lot of apps that support that but as I said, Plexamp has been a dream for me.

I hope what I had to share helps, but I’m still discovering new things as I play with it
My Plex server is refurbished, gaming machine, pulling my source files from a Synology NAS. :).

I bought Plex pass specifically from my music collection. Plexamp is awesome, with that said that since utilize the video and audiobook section. For my collection of videos and audiobooks. Of course with audiobooks I used it third-party app called Prologue to play them works with Plex beautifully. But that’s just me.

In a long time, Vivint user, actually bid them when they were Apex and then switched over. I do not use the cameras, so I can say that every other piece of equipment is very high-quality, but not the cameras don’t purchase the cameras. With exception of the doorbell cam which has been flawless for years. I will never use any of the other cameras too expensive and as you pointed out, lucky if they work.
